Currently the thought process on WR's is just pump the shit out of speed/agility. Thats one way to potentially have a good WR however the problem with that is it really relies on having the OC put you in the right situation to succeed. There are more than just one way to build a WR. Just a few highlights from the last game Cassius Clay played in.

The advice I would give you all is:
Find a team and stick with that team. Talk to the OC about how he plans to use you, how you are going to build your WR, and you will have a much better chance at being successful. There are multiple ways to build a good WR. I would argue that for a "team" the speed WR build is not actually the most useful of builds.

+1

I've been building a Steve Smith, speed\agility\catching and Moose Catching\Speed\Strength. Both do great in their assigned roles. Once I get #89's jumping up like the real #89, he'll be perfect.

Cassius is breaking a good amount of his tackles with Spin and he isn't always getting caught from behind (in SA PRO!) so he hasn't neglected Speed and Agil at all.

He has to have 95-105 speed MINIMUM to not get caught too often in Pro.
I am guessing 80-90 agil, with plenty of SAs and VAs to make moves like Spin so effective while still running on Power.
I would put strength around 65 with carrying at 70.
YAC Attack, Bruiser, maybe Quick Feet.

I don't have any players in Pro yet, so I might be off on this, but that's my guess.
I am currently thinking about making a Slot Machine similar to Cassius.

You should name him "Slot Machine".

I thought about making a unique high strength WR as well since most CBs here are built to stop the cookie cutter build. It's much more effective when used correctly because QBs throw more accurately in short routes and instead of spending 3-4 sp to add 1 speed or agi, you can simply get 3-4 str, which translates to more overall attributes. However, I was afraid that if a team folds on me or drop me, I'd have trouble finding a team, especially one that knows how to use such a build successfully.

A well-built WR, even an odd build, will not have trouble finding a team.

If you have a player like that and he doesn't have a team, PM me and you will have one. We have an extensive farm system and I can find a place somewhere for you.

A lot of speed/agility:

34 TDs, 1,503 yards in a casual, run 1st team. I'll take it.
