Warrior General Games

Juking/head fakes have been pretty out of control and unrealistic all last season too. Vision helps but i see guys with real high vision/sv get faked too. Even stupider when they're running against the sideline and you're chasing from behind. I don't see how a juke/headfake could actually work in that situation

This game has evolved since then. More and more players are building better. A pro team 5 season ago that was top notch would probably be an AA team now.

You do a pretty good job making yourself look like an idiot, Underdogs. Perhaps with all of your knowledge on how to build a defensive player, you should get back into building offense... I'm noticing how good your SS was against a team that was -36 in his last game. Woohoo(insert sarcasm)

Who are you to criticize? Iv learned more from him then I have from most people in this forum.

not to stir the kettle or anything, i agree and disagree with both things, a good corner can be made multiple ways, now probably a finished product is alot different. But how a defense uses the corner dictates to its build, you have to have a really good build to be used wrongly and still have success.

even agility and speed probably is best in a mixture of coverages, zone and man, and more speed is probably better in all out man. i dont see many teams playing all out zone, so the more speed builds have less of a chance of getting messed up. But if you make a corner with almost even agility and speed and dont make mistakes, that player will be a tad better.

i play football, alot of madden and i know that doesnt qualify me, but if you build a player to cover another player with a similar build youll do well, only really capitalizing on mistakes. But if you build a player differently to fit their own mold, they make plays rather than just capitalizing. That is why in the NFL you dont see two shutdown corners on one team, you usually see one good corner who gets targeted less, and on the other side a playmaker.

Ok so basically this is what im saying:
sheldon brown had a good year last year, he didnt get targeted much and didnt let up much, he played close to a "shutdown corner"

on the other side Asante Samuel led the league in pass deflections, had many interceptions, and probably let up a little more but compensated for it with making plays.

now if i made a team on GLB id want a few cb builds to be more speed than agility, and a few to be even agility and speed so that if there is a weakness that the QB has or WR has, then maybe one of them can take advantage. Diversity over "perfection"

You started with D I started with O . Your level 53 guy has had 8 seasons now to make something happen, my G has had 6 but they don't get MVP ever. I will never take your advice because you are still stuck in the philosophies that worked in season 2+3 (get speed to 5 million and screw the rest of your atty's) In case you didn't notice, there have been changes in the game that make a more balanced build more important than they used to be. SA's are even important now, remember when people said that was a waste? How many bonus tokens did you waste for your guys when it was all about temp boosting... I had the foresight to buy AEQ as soon as it was started, did you? I started an elusive back before they were strong enough to make things happen. I was cap building when slow was the only way... Your problem is that you don't see the evolution of this BETA game, and if you can't be prepared to work towards the future of the game then you are an IDIOT! keep doing things the old way and watch the game pass you by. IMO you have -1 credibility and that is a very common opinion, wish I could start a thread about that, bet it would get stickied

+1 UD may be a little (ok very...) arrogant, but arrogance doesnt = ignorance. he knows what he is doing.

As far as much of the CB community is concerned, UD is one of best CB "gurus" in the game. yeah him and longhorn dont get along too well, but whoever said that experts have to agree? fact is UD knows what he is doing, and gives good advice. yeah he maybe talks shit and gets people mad, but id say his advice makes up for it.

I just like to bust his chops sometimes, but he's done more research on CBs than p much everyone who posts in this forum, and while I disagree with some of his theories, he has solid reasons behind them which count for a lot.

Seeing a Build, compared to seeing game film = same thing??? I guess you don't watch games, you can't tell how effective any build is unless you have watched two players in the same position with the different build, on the same team against the same players running the same plays... Ur so dumb, it makes me sad

More than one way does not equal best. There are numerous ways to succeed as a cb, but if you want to be the best, one method is better than the other.
