There is no Agility+Strength combo.

I'd say to start with Agility+Tackling, then move on to Speed+Stamina while working Agility up, then Strength+Tackling while working Speed up, if you choose to take the Speed>Strength route, which I personally wouldn't recommend unless you're more focused on having a productive player early on than later on when you might reach the pros.

what is the most efficient order for training a speed rushing dt

agil/speed or agil/vis first then str/tackle and so on? I know what to cap first just not sure what the most efficient way to train is.

imo. roll with as many points in strength/agility as you can get. higher strength is better

start out with strength + tackle
then tackle + agility
agility + speed

Take strength to 61
Agility to 81
tackling to 49
Speed to 77 or 81

training path

train strength/tackling until strength is ready to be capped and is 94+% trained
switch to agility + tackling until ready to cap agility
cap agility
if tackling is over 32, switch to agility/speed. If not train agility/tackling until tackling is over 32

speed/stamina while taking agility to 81 and tackling to 48
strength/tackling to roll both over
speed/stamina until you can cap speed
speed/stamina until you can 2nd cap speed

stamina/confidence until stamina is where you want it
confidence/vision

Because of the training combos. The only thing strength trains with is tackling. It is a horrible attribute to be training in the middle of your training cycle.

The order doesn't matter if you are going to get them to the same place eventually. It doesn't really matter if you get agility to 74 then bring strength up to 68 or if you bring strength up to 61 and then take agility to 81. All that matters is how quickly you hit each cap.

aah kk, my building philosophy differs pretty markedly from that. one way to solve the str issue later on is to go agi + speed, take agi to 80ish, and train str + tck together. it works out fine if you have a good starting roll.

If you 2nd cap Strength right off the bat...it'll only be like 79 at level 40. That's weaksauce imo.

By doing that, tackling is leveling up through the best training period. Speed doesn't get much of auto level gains, so it will stay low if you wait to train it. Since strength/agility/tackling all get .67, that is where training should be focused early on.

well, you gotta take into account the entire way i build players. i don't believe at all in the alternating cap way of building, so i take one skill up to a given cap and let it coast while doing the next...so as long as i'm still capping say...agility, it doesn't matter whether i train speed or str or tackling b/c i'm not gonna touch them until agility is finished. with the DL in particular, this works out pretty will because the first two attributes are gonna get taken to 73 minimum anyway, leaving plenty of time to train str/tackling up to 33 or so before i cap them.

I don't alternate either.

I actually take strength to 68 and then bring agility up to equal it. So at level 28 they are both 80.89 natural.

However, if you stop at 61 cap with strength you could have 75.89 strength and 84.89 agility at 28 and you don't interrupt your training cycle.

yeah i am talking about much higher extremes...

by L40 or so i'd be looking for 91/81 where as you'd be looking at about 84/85

you got me curious so i modeled it, those numbers are rounded SLIGHTLY (from L37)

Just became the bible for the agents on my slow-build. Thanks for the hard work.

Thanks also to the rest of you that have furthered the conversation as well, some very good discussion here.
