I looked in Oceania AAA2.

I found this DE: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=423735 who's got 10 sacks against non-gutted teams. So, in 5 games he's got 10 sacks. 2 sacks/game. even better than I thought.

And this DE: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=340270 has 4 sacks in 5 games against non-gutted teams. 0.8 sacks every game.

So, there you go. the top 2 sack guys in this league get a healthy amount. What more should you expect?

Remember, the vote was to make this game as realistic as possible and that sack frequency is realistic. I agree there's a lot that's unrealistic right now. But, I also would say that offense sells tickets (flex).

I wasn't aware that defensive positions didn't cost flex.

I got ripped off.

don't be silly. you know the glamor positions are on offense and therefore cost more flex.

Realistic? You idiots still don't get it. Nobody's bitching about DEs getting manhandled by equal competition. What we find ridiculous is DEs can't even dominate against gutted OTs. But instead gets the same 2 tackles, 2 hurries, 1 sack treatment. That's NOT realistic.

So what does DE owners have to look forward to? No matter how the hell he builds his player all he can look forward to is 1 tackle, 2 hurries, 1 sack games that's pre-determined by Bort. That's NOT realistic nor is it even MMORPH. The point of a MMORPH game like this one is that if one player totally out builds another then that player should put up ridiculous stats. The problem is Bort's inability to have equal competition leagues, not DEs getting too many sacks.

These are not that hard to understand people. Yet again and again I keep hearing the same idiotic word: "realistic"

So basically after all that non-sense you posted what you're really saying is: all defensive owners STFU, 200-7 games, good, DE getting more than 2 sacks, bad. Then say it, don't try to sound logical and try to make an argument, you don't have any

what you failed to understand (I won't call you an idiot for that) is that the sack totals I mentioned were against equal competition. I did not include games against CPU/gutted teams. I think I made that pretty clear.

What you failed to understand is that so DE owners are forced to make a super build before they can look forward to any kind of sack numbers, while the offensive owners can screw around and still put up massive stats. That's what you don't get.

By the way, when Bort runs out of toilet paper do you offer your tongue?

you can't argue against the data so you resort to personal attack. BTW, read my post history. I doubt you'll find any thing positive about Bort in my posts. Don't pretend to know people when you don't.

A big part of the problem is the feast/famine part of DEs too. If you have an awesome build then yeah, you can probably put up NFL-Like (not other position-GLB-like) numbers but if you have an average to good build, you're gonna get shut out a lot. You have to slow build with a purpose to have any kind of success.

play against good competition and all numbers are quite realistic. even rushing and passing numbers. play against dumb defenses and you'll have big numbers.

I see a lot of games where defenses obviously didn't try to stop that HB. some teams held him pretty well.

That's not really true, here are the top 5 teams in CPL Western Conference for example:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=208 66 points per game, has scored less than 65 once
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=199 61 points per game, hasn't scored less than 38 all season
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=144 54 points per game, has scored less than 44 once
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1797 26 points per game (not counting their win against a gutted team), has scored less than 30 twice which is somewhat more realistic but still has the offensive production of a top offensive NFL team
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1857 40 points per game, has scored less than 38 once.

Top offensive team in the NFL last season average ~29 points per game. Superbowl champion Steelers averaged ~22 points per game. Offensive numbers aren't realistic.

Even if you were right, it doesn't address the problem. If a QB has a mediocre game, he still throws for 200 yards and a TD or two. If a DE has a mediocre game (and DEs have mediocre games much more frequently than QBs) he has 1 hurry and maybe 1 tackle. That's a big difference as far as entertainment.

I actually appreciate you telling us that this is the way it is, Voltron. I was hanging on with my DE for a little bit longer just hoping that things would change. I mean, I've put 8 seasons into him, so I didn't want to just get rid of him on a whim and then the DE position get fixed the very next season. But if, as you say, Bort is totally happy with the way the DE position is going, then I don't have to wait any longer to retire mine. And I'm not meaning this in a mean-spirited way. Thanks for letting us know.

That's exactly it - Bort doesn't want you to know and hoping that you keep pouring flex in hoping that "next season will be different"
