I don't know how purchasing a new team and filling it with my friends players is wrong. We all started last season when buying a team was not possible. I have bought a team and worked hard to get most of them all on my team. This mean our team in in the teens. I know we are not the only one to do this so how is it that we all get penalzed. Doesn't make sense to me.

Ohh, I am wounded, hurt, pierced by your witty remark! I shall not be able to sleep tonight fretting that I have somehow wounded your fragile self causing you so much angst that you have to act like a child and.... gasp... Call me names!

Oh woe is me!

Chuckle, there should be an age limit on the forums.

Freakshow, you wouldn't get penalized with the current proposal either. What Bort was proposing was to limit new signings to a flexible cap limit. People already on your team are not affected, and can be resigned at will.

The only problem you might have would be if your friends that are not yet on your team, were of a higher level than the cap.

Also, keep in mind that under the proposal the level cap would be more flexible during the offseason (read: you could sign higher level players between seasons than you could during the season), as the main concern was to keep people from suddenly adding high level players in the middle of the season to play spoiler in the rankings or to make a team instantly unbeatable.

I fully understood what you said. You were referring to other players on your account that are higher level than the ones on your team. Whether they are on your account, a friend's account, or Joe Schmoe's account, that is bringing high level players (hiring them for your team) into what is supposed to be a low level league, and if you have to do that to win, then all the power to you, just don't try to impress anyone by bragging about it.

I only have one final thing to say before I never waste another second of my time on you. It's funny how you preach when you already have your roster stacked 3 deep with lvl 13s, yet you wish to deny me the right to obtain players that i've already created that are the exact same lvl or not much better than yours....I think that has to be the most hypocritical crap I've read so far. Now shampoo my nads and have a nice day.

If your players are level 13's, I seriously doubt this flexible cap would stop you from signing them.

Just looking at BBB #14 (where I reside), if the cap were put in place today the level would likely be around 15-16 (under the average level + x [I am assuming x as 3 or 4] system). By the start of next season (after the cap was relaxed for the offseason) that average would likely move up a level or two.

Then, each season thereafter, as more players level up the league average will continue to go up. By season 5, the BBB #14 average +x level will most likely be mid to high twenties.

The new players will predominately end up stocking the new teams. The levels in USA will stay higher on average than anywhere else.

Try to not get quite so verclempt over something you obviously haven't considered in full.

the cap is stupid imho because players of higher level are generally gonna be looking for team in the proleague as they will not get as much experience playing against lower level players. I didn't buy a team to be stuck in a glorified d league. if bort wants garbage teams for new players do tier cpu leagues that dont have a commitment to its pl;ayers like a I do with mine.

Every single one of the players on my team started with my team at the beginning of the year. The entire team started this year between levels 1 and 4. We brought exactly zero higher level characters onto the team, so perhaps you can find yourself a dictionary and look up the word hypocrit.

And yet again, we break into the pithy, little boy comments.

I'd grab a dictionary just to verify the spelling of "hypocrite", but that's just me...

Here's the proposal I laid out....

Check out what you think...

I proposed that if they want to cap the leagues somehow they should do it by capping the sizes of the stadiums which would create a more loose salary cap styled system....

Your stadium can only be so big so you can only draw so much revenue and thus only sign so many big players.... Better teams will be able to charge higher prices though and will still maintain a competitive advantage, etc....

I think IF they're going to do something that this is a better idea... Otherwise just let it all come out in the wash.... They have to give it a few seasons before making a panic move like this.

I'm not an owner, so I don't know how stadiums and crowds work exactly, but I presume you have to pay some sort of upkeep on your stadium and more upkeep for a bigger stadium. If so, a better solution would be to have a soft cap on attendance, not on the size of the stadium. If you want to keep a bigger stadium and pay for it, more power to you.

Additionally, I'd increase the number of teams that move up/down after a season, as others have suggested. Possibly move 4 teams, with the top record in each conference moving up, and the 2 teams in the championship game. If the top seeds reach the championship game, then either use the semifinalist or the 2 seed (either way).

Please get in there and let them know how much this would screw up your teams. He doesent HAVE players at low levels, so he doesent seem to understand that most of the players in these leauges are already higher than the penalizable levels.

Get out there and add to these threads or forever be pittered on.

he was only saying level 10 as a example

There are significant problems trying to control levels using money. My team is a great example, I have a slew of level 12s, and 13s on my team. They should be costing me a fortune, but since we are a group of friends, no-one is commanding a huge salary. I could go out and get a couple fairly high levels if I wanted to, and guarenteed they would take the absolute minimum.

Contrast that to a team that doesn't have those connections, and you have a huge disparity.

Well obviously the whole Chemistry Factor is a joke and means nothing. It does make for a Pretty, Shiny Bar graph but has no bearing on the game. And it's not a deterrent at all to loading up teams throughout the season. So maybe something else needs to be done.
