You don't know me and to question my character in any shape or form is ridiculous.

I didn't say this earlier because I was trying to be nice but perhaps instead of making excuses about why your team loses you need to look at some of your own deficiencies. Perhaps passing on 3rd and goal from the 3.5 isn't necessarily a good idea when you are pretty much guaranteed 7 points by running twice. Perhaps running a crappy inside I formation run on 3rd/4th and short that gets stopped 75% of the time is an AI deficiency. Perhaps running the same offensive plays every time from the same formation makes it easy for teams to make the right type of play call against your offense. Perhaps having a weak ass DL that gives up 173 pancakes on 82 rushes (over 2 per rush) is a problem. And don't give me crap about that being because of our depth. The Bullets have a similar roster size and gave up under 50 pancakes on 46 rushes (or average of 1 per rush). You keep believing that you're doing the right thing. Keep calling other people out and making yourself feel better. Because the only thing you'll ever win again in USA Pro is the self pity MVP trophy.

That's all I really have to say. And I mean it this time.

TSE, are you calling me unsportsmanlike?

Yes, very much so, from MY perspective as an owner, not necessarily from the perspective of all owners, 'cause a lot of other owners don't feel the way I do as described in the commentary above. And I'm sure all of your players love you a lot and respect you a lot, and enjoy your outlook on the game and the way you play it.

People can feel free to harp on me and claim that I'm being a "bad sport" by stating these opinions, but to me it wasn't MY choice for YOU to play the game in an unsporting way, you chose that yourself, and I have a lot of personal pride for how I approach the game and thus I stand by my comments and opinions. I would be more than able to respect your game and call you "sporting" if you had made other choices in how you approach the game, and again more power to you for liking your style of play and being content with that, but in my opinion it's just not sporting the way that you chose to play the game.

You couldn't find one post where I've said one bad thing about you, ever. In fact, you might even say that you and I have a pretty good GLB relationship.

And most of my fellow owners here would say that I'm a pretty level-headed, intelligent guy, as well as honest.

Therefore, you should listen when I say you are acting like an arrogant prick. I say this not to insult you, or to defend Hazy. Only to get you to realize that you are, and hopefully, to get you to stop.

Better to be remembered as a strong competitor, than a sore loser.

I am, Hazy....and if you don't bench 40 of your players, limit your running to 10%, take your passing QB off the TE slot (leaving him only in as the QB so you can't control when your running QB is in), play DTs as WRs and go with a 3-1-7 cover 3 deep zone, I'll call you unsportsmanlike again! (figured it was worth a shot)

Thanks PP - I'd be more than willing to come to some type of run <75% agreement, even if I think it'd favor your team.

Well duh. I kind of said I was biting my tongue.

(and I'm not angry, not in the least bit, if anything I'm amused)

Oh I totally agree. I am sure there are a TON of people reading this and going to have the perspective that I didn't take the high road. I just disagree with that perspective and felt these things needed to be said and am very happy with everything that I have addressed here and believe that I have the right attitude on this topic.

So now my level of intelligence is low because of MY OPINION? Hazy, now THAT is ridiculous, not what I said.

And I'm not attacking your humanity or character as a person in this world as I know NOTHING about you as a person.

I just think you play an unsportsmanlike game and play a chicken-shit game, that's all. How you want to interpret that is up to you, but that's my honest opinion, not a statement of fact or a piece of evidence to introduce into a trial about you being a bad-character person, of which I have no opinion on since I know nothing about you but what I can see here.

Damn, I didn't edit quick enough. Didn't mean to call you an idiot and took it out.

Still totally think you're a cry baby though. But no, you're not an idiot.

Forming an opinion on someones opinion you haven't had discussions with is petty.

No....I'm saying that you do those things and I do whatever I want

I was just trying to lighten the mood, Hazy.

So what exactly makes a team "better"? And how are we to measure who is "better"?

....So, TO ME, a "better" team is the team that can go into a sim with "courage" by playing the game with a fair and equitable armament, meaning 71 players to 45, to me is a bunk contest......

Also, TO ME, a "better" team is one that can win by restricting an unrealistic level of running plays......

So to sum up, you think the best team is the one that has some depth but not tons of it, and one that runs but not too much.

I bet you really hated Nebraska back in the day when they ran the option 75% of the time, another 20% straight handoffs, and carried a ton of big old farmboy linemen.

I agree, and conventional wisdom would say that I could command a lot of respect by saying nothing but "good game" and you the man and showing absolutely no excuses or criticisms of any kind. That sells well with people no doubt. But to me, I think it's more important to clear the air on these issues for the good of the game going forward, in hopes that it inspires other to be better sports in the future whether in this game, or elsewhere in life. I am willing to sacrifice my own ego and my own perception in this game to those that think I have taken the low road, because I don't believe that I have, I believe in the converse actually and consider myself to be setting a great example by doing the right thing and talking frankly and openly and honestly on the subject, rather than dodging the issue and taking the politically correct "good guy" that gives props to his opponent and in admittance of defeat. I ONLY DO THAT when I feel it is earned, because when I say something, I genuinely mean it, and then the complements and respect to that person can be truly appreciated because of it's sincerity AND it's merit, and not some PC fluff talk to try and impress others by taking the so-called and obligatory "high road".
