All bull shitting aside, I look forward to a good season with you guys, hopefully we can stay competitive against the likes of BLPP, ESL, KK, Hitmen, and others that are mainstays as well as our fellow AAA counterparts.

Sorry..not gonna happen. The only funk that P-Funk will have is what emanates from their jocks.

our jocks are very funky. thank you.

our head coach has a very small hat size, so we'll be fucked.

LOL, comedy gold.

I didn't know the Bats were gutted.

We weren't gutted, but our chemistry is extremely low. P-Funk just beat the shit out of us.

You been sneaking in our locker rooms stealing our straps again

I thought our security was tighter than that, but I guess if someone wants something bad enough, they will find a way to get it

I know the Cowboys have been a roll of starting off slow in AAA but once they get use to the changes in the sim they always come back with a vengeance, not sure if that is what happened or not, but I see you guys coming back with something more as the season progresses.

5. Manila Hitmen (Very strong team, has all the advantages of a 1 man run team, handled their 2 match ups to SEA Pro newcomers... so hard to gauge those wins yet)

The Hitmen are for real since you want to single out a team being one man runned. You may as well call it it One Man who knows what the blank he is doing. So put your Hot Mamas on the same boat and clear your throat and I really don't care who else has multiple players. I just can do something you can't. If you done talking PUT YOUR TEAM UP OR SHUT UP. Gauge that.

The Hitmen are a top notch team, but if you think that being a one man team is not a tremendous advantage then that is just plain delusional. Saying you can "do something" Sulf can't based on the Hitmen's success just does not have credibility. Some of us "can" do it but choose not to because creating a team with a variety of agents is what makes an MMO (Massive Multi-player Online Game) rewarding. If someone is going to field a one man team, why not just play Madden? You have a helluva lot more control and you can still play people online.

You never had to experience going through:
- Recruiting
- Coordinating tactics
- Dealing with unavoidable attrition (people tire of the game/ want to go to own team/ etc.)
- Trying to convince people to boost
- Trying to convince people to purchase advanced equipment
- Trying to convince people to take less money than they could get elsewhere
- Dealing with playing time politics

I would say that is about, oh, 100% of the challenges of ownership. Not to sound condescending, but can you really call yourself an "owner"? After all, an owner is supposed to be a manager. Who are you managing?

JT83 speaks the truth here, huge advantage. If you want respect then do it the way everyone else has had to for 6 seasons.

There are huge disadvantages to being a solo owner, because he has to all scouting and gameplanning himself. Let alone try and keep up with all the Bortifications that are scattered like Gengis Kahn's offspring

there are certainly Pros and Cons to being a solo owner, but to dismiss the cons is foolish

I totally dismiss the cons. Because if you have the financial resources and enough time on your hands, owning the entire roster is a huge advantage. I drool over the thought of it. And if anyone wants to paypal me a couple hundred bucks, I'll prove it to you.

Plank has a valid point here though and none of you can ignore it. Doing all the gameplanning and scouting for your team every other day at the very least is tiring and has driven owners to want to sell their own teams. So if people want to complain that they dont have to deal with multiple agents, well, they are suffering from "grass is greener on the other side" syndrome imo.

i agree 100%. ESL would not be what it is if i was doing all the scouting/gameplanning/ai setting myself. infact, esl would be fucking terrible if it were all on my shoulders. As much as the idea of controling every player is appealing, without plank, papabear, HB, Tarlyn, and everyone else who's contributed to our success over the seasons, we'd be just another middling team.

you see, esl is all about superior gameplanning and builds, not levels

Except for a few seasons I've done virtually all the game planning and scouting for the pandas. Let me just say that recruiting and coordinating everyone is 4 times more time consuming. And not to toot my own horn, but given our record I would say our game planning is pretty comprehensive. I'm positive the vast majority of owners would agree with me.

If the grass isn't greener why would you spend all that money? When people blow that kind of dough they expect a competitive advantage. Think of it this way, would someone pay $500 for a shitty WOW character or a good one?

Best post of the thread... LMAO

Also, It's a well known fact that one agent teams are chodateams. I thought we had already all come to that understanding?
