Sentence 1: I get not spending SP on a skill you are training, i.e. SPEED at Level 2.

Sentence 2: What I do not get is holding SP's in reserve on a skill not being trained, one that is already soft-capped or one that is 2nd soft-capped.

How about my final sentence: I am lost as to the benefit of holding back SP's once the build is going and the attribute is not being trained.

Your reply: so you get more out of training, training speed when its only at 20 is gonna have a lot greater benifit than training speed when its at 40.

I then ask you to re-read and rather than answer the original point of the post, you say to speak more clearly

Fine.

Why store SP's if SPEED is at 53 and you want to get it to the second soft-cap?

Can you answer that?

There is no point, which is why no one stores points for an attribute once it's soft capped if they plan on taking it further than the soft cap.

You would only save SP if you're slow building, you've soft capped speed and have now moved on to training agility for instance until you have enough SP to soft cap it.

Well there is no benefit or loss from saving SP after reaching the soft cap, so I think he was just saving them to make it easier to track his build progress, capping attributes step by step.

This + I was originally storing for capping vision, but decided the best long term plan would be to 2nd cap spd/agil.

Thanks for the clarification there. I haven't followed too closely, but am interested as I am slow-building 3 CB's at the same time right now. All the extra SP's made me wonder what was going on.

Its IMPOSSIBLE to tell a CBs abiltiies by his stats...No matter how you looka t it, it just doesnt add it.

That forumula only means somethign to people who dont understand the CB position.

I don't see what makes your CB the next coming? All this talk about what you're gonna do in the future doesn't help you intercept the ball or swat down passes.

Besides, with GLB changing so much from season to season, all your planning could be in vein with one change by Bort.

I say, build what you feel is best, watch your replays and adjust accordingly. What the hell fun is always waiting?

I'm not sure you really understand what this thread is all about.
