Rising Suns,

DVSmith's broadside distracted me from your question. All of the teams are new. But a lot of the teams brought existing players from other teams. A lot of Rutgers guys had players scattered around other teams, found each other on a Rutgers message board, and all came together on this team. So we weren't toally starting from scratch.

Regarding DVSmith's assertion that we could have run the ball to stop the blowout: running the ball eats more time off the clock, ending the game faster. So, if we weren't interested in running up the score, we could have stopped passing and started running. Once we were up by 25, I sent a mental ESP message to the computer to run more and stop passing, but it didn't listen. I guess I should have tried harder.

Not really our blowout was due to punt returns and we had no control over that. We didn't try and pass all game which everyone knows if you pass you take less clock and can score more points (Patriots as example) I don't care who has the biggest blowout the only important thing is a WIN!!! thats it. It just proves what kind of class you really have. It obvious up 52-0 at half and your team comes out passes 24 times in 2nd half and rushes 21. Don't know what you think you would reveal that we can't look up.

PS: This is the last thing I will say about the subject - you can set tactics play subs once up by a certaint amount and let the CPU change gameplan due to whats working and not. So lets see in 2 games when the Jersey Boys take us on.

We're cocky? You declare you aim to destroy people and then say we should be more humble? Maximizing our chances of victory and "blowing out" you opponent are 1 in the same in this virtual game. Please offer some balance and reason when you try to make an argument. "Cockiness will be our downfall," sounds good but really means nothing. All of us top teams are confident in our skills... If not, we wouldn' be "wasting" so much time in this game (emphasis on game).

DVSmith,

I'm sorry, but do you know how dumb you sound? Criticizing us for our second half game planning? I try to be nice, but geez. That takes the cake.

You guys must not understand this game as much as I thought. Or maybe my coaches have educated us pretty well. Either way, I'm not saying we're gonna win in the playoffs (see example of humility), but most winning teams are labelled "cocky.". It comes with the territory.

No not really sure, if someone follows the conversation then it goes right to what you are saying. You can gameplan for getting a lead then coast to a win but you deliberatly tried to annihilate your opponent. Thats the point!!! Maybe I just have to break it down for slower people.

Uhhm. There's only 1 opportunity to make strategy decisions.. That's BEFORE the game, not during the game, not at halftime. This is not a rhetorical question: dvsmith, are you younger than 16 years old?

DVSmith,

Yes, I'm slow. Please break it down for me. How could we have changed our tactics at halftime to not run up the score? What AI setting would have resulted in an "easy cruise" to victory?

But I'm done with this. As many people have pointed out, points scored is a tie-breaker for playoff seeding, so running up the score is a legitimate thing to do. So, even though winning 100-0 vs. say 50-0, wasn't our intent, I'm going to stop defending myself about it.

We still lead the league in points scored so we wont have to run it up on you

For Haha's here are my rankings to this date

1) Chicago (cant get better than undefeated)
2) New Brunswick (Huge depth)
3) Manhattan (Most Points scored in BBB 15) (might be wrong didnt add monday nights games)
4) Wala wala (Big time money man irons leading the way)
5) Lima (Flying undefeated under the radar)
6) New York (Great QB leading their team)
7) Rapid City (BIG TIME D but not enough Offense to propel them)
8) Michigan (people will underestimate them)
9 and 10 are tossups so feel free to insert your teams name here

Deathknight,

Those are pretty good. You can't compare East and West well, obviously. So how we stack up against Wala Wala and Lima is anyone's guess. but good job. I'm sure Michigan is happy!

I wasnt using any kind of formula just kinda sticking with how i feel each team would fair vs the others. We have michigan, new york, chicago lima all soon. Most of them before playoffs. So at least we will be tested enough come playoff time.
