Seksiwill,
I think you might rival the badgers when it comes to insomnia. You are always on. Do you live in the west?

Anyway, New Jersey Blaze, I like that you are getting excited to play us. It instills a real since of belonging in the target currently hanging off the back of the Badgers.

We are due for an upset as no true Badger team can ever live up to expectations or hype.

Also, all for the player of the week idea. I think the best way to do it would be for a weekly (every other day) conference players of the week. Each owner selecting one player on their team to recieve the honor (either an offensive or defensive player) and forwarding that players stats to salizy13. Each team could only nominate one player, making it easier for the administrator of the awards to sort through them and also guranteeing that there aren't any cries of favoritism (it sounds like a childish failsafe, but the thread has been headed down hill lately).

Just my thoughts, open to ideas, and conversation.

You never know Tecmo only has to lose one game to be kicked out of the playoffs. You know what they say "Any Given Sunday" or in this case every two days.

Alright boys and girls in time for the Players of the week for these past games

In the WEST:
OFFENSIVE
THE RB's for the HUSKER ILLUSTRATED BUGEATERS
Are you kidding me? Three running backs got significant carries for them, Mike Hunt, Money James, and Marcus Spiller, and all of them dominated. Between the three of them over 280 yards were rushed for and 6 TD were scored. This potent rushing attack is one to watch out for.
DEFENSIVE
There were 3 candidates for this award, but overall i had to go with the performance that impacted the game most, and that was CB Marcus Trufant of the HOUSTON TOXINS. In a deathly close 12-3 game Trufant had 4 tackles 1 int and 1 forced fumble. Without his two caused turnovers, the TOXINS might have had a L instead of that W.

In the EAST
OFFENSIVE
HB Ferrari Testarossa of the BROOKLYN LEGACY
The dude tore it up out there. Overall he had 143 yards rushing and had 4TD. I repeat 4TD. He dominated the oppostition in a otherwise boring blowuout.

DEFENSIVE
CB Shizz Denero of the PHILIDELPHIA PIGEONS
Not much to say besides his 3 tackles and 2 interceptions. He carried the defense in a great performance by this overall strong defense.

PLAY OF THE WEEK
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=2757294
Sean Sweeney of the Dallas Hitmen goes 72 YARDS for the touchdown

GREAT JOB TO ALL OF THE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
GO BBB#12

Didn't realize we agreed that you'd solely select the player of the week.

my bad everyone said it was a good idea so i thought id do it

I think Awesome Lee is a good case for East Offensive player of the week.

over 82% 290.5 yards, 0 pick and 3 TDs in a 35-0 shut out win. Haven't looked at all the stats for everyone, but these are some good numbers. And thats all in the first 3 quarters.

Actually I could care less if my players are selected as player of the week or even league MVP, I care about winning. I also posted that because I must of missed where we agreed that one owner would select the actual player(s) and I like the aspect of football roleplaying, ie why I am on this thread. Might I add I didn't say I disagreed with any of picks rather questioned him making them by himself. Good luck against Carolina though Dafus i'd hate for you to lose another game and end up missing out on the playoffs. Be nice to beat you...again.

Week 9 predictions

Frankfurt Universe vs. Houston Toxins
Well the Toxins ownership is still going with the CPU players even tho the hammer was bought down on them... hammer equals 2 losses and Bort. When will you guys field a human team? dont you know cpu players are worthless? Still more then a enough to handle the universe.
Houston Toxins 27-13

Eugene SLUGs vs. Minnesota Mountain Lions
Here is an EPIC battle... of havenots. Both teams are staring up at the 8th seed but is that water too deep over their heads already? loser of this game WONT make the playoffs with already being behind 1.5 games.
Eugene SLUGs win 14-10

Tana River Ewoks vs. Los Angeles Express
The Express's lost 2 weeks ago to the bugs pissed em off right... so they took all that out on the SLUGS. In walks the Ewoks who could have a shot here at pulling out a win. But im gonna lay my money on the express.
Los Angeles Express win 28-23

Dallas Hitmen vs. Honolulu Beach Boys
LOL. just think... in real life, if someone walked up to you and asked, who would win in a fight, a hitman or a beach boy??? who would you pick?
Honolulu Beach Boys win 52-24

Spokane Owls vs. Montana Crow
OMG, this is exciting.. this is the West's Toilet Bowl!
Montana Crow win, cause they suck less.... which isnt saying much.

Long Beach Dub All-Stars vs. Chicago Inferno
Long beach has caused a ruckus with their recruiting methods. Me i could care less. Reason i could care less is cause of their remaining schedule. I feel they will end up in 9th place just missing the playoffs at 8-8. Chicago is a good team, but they are simply out matched and out classed in this game.
Long Beach Dub All-Stars win 30-21

Huskers Illustrated Bugeaters vs. Seattle Buffalos
Ah the bugeaters. coming off that nice win vs undefeated express is still on their high and it doesnt end today.
Huskers Illustrated Bugeaters win 37-19

Possum Trot Plague vs. Timpanogos Thunder
This is a huge game for both teams. one to stay alive in playoff race... other to get a home game in the playoffs. Thunder on paper look like they have a slight edge.. but
Possum Trot Plague win 10 - 6

Awesomeville Bearphins vs. Buffalo Chips
I called that the Chips were an average team when they were undefeated. they shine on lesser teams and this isnt the case this week is it.
Awesomeville Bearphins win 27-17

Brooklyn Legacy vs. Carolina Bulldogs
Bulldogs at 1-7 are trying to change their luck. They fired their old mascot and bought in something that looks more like a cock and balls. wait.. oh i know who that is... its Seksiwill!
Brooklyn Legacy win alot to alittle

Sheffield Sabres vs. Charleston Mountaineers
Horrible...
Charleston Mountaineers win... i guess

New Jersey FalCoons vs. Philadelphia Pigeons
You know i bust balls on losing teams... but these two teams, tho losers now, will be competing hardcore next season..
Philadelphia Pigeons win 17-10

Chocolate City Saints vs. Tampa Bay Tarpons
In my heart im rooting for the tampons. but in my brain, i knows whats up.
Chocolate City Saints win 38-23

New Jersey Blaze vs. Sconnie Badgers
Today is when the blaze gets put out
Sconnie Badgers wins 24-3

Tecmo All Stars vs. FC Hezbollah
Allah couldnt help you win this game....
Tecmo All Stars Win 54-10

New Orleans Night Trippers vs. Bonita Beef Supreme
Big game here. i like both teams but im laying my dough on the 2 soft taco supremes and a coke.
Bonita Beef Supreme win 14-13
