LB/Safetys/CBs needed a little love in this one.

Could we look at something like a Disguised Blitzer VA for LBs?

Something along the lines of a -.5 Vision penalty per level to OL when that LB is blitzing and set a distance from the LOS like minimum of 1-2 yards? Not a huge hit to vision for most OL so just enough that it could cause confusion in blocking schemes just like any disguised blitzes can do in the NFL etc. (Need to fix the NT dropping into zone bug as well)

Or something like a coverage VA for LBs who are terrible in coverage as is that gives them an extra boost similar to SDC when playing m2m.

besides, if you already have 10% more agility than the pass blocker, shouldn't you be breaking the blocks fairly consistently already? it's like blowout fuel - if you're already going to kick the OTs ass most of the time, here's something to make it happen all the time.

I'd just like to see a flat bonus to elusive pass rushers ...

Not at all, some guys have 20 or 30% more agility and still go nowhere. It was much harder to break blocks in season 12 than it was previously.

Agreed. I have a DT w/ 120+ AGI (w/ EQ) and he didn't break much of anything last season.

Here are a couple for CB's, the language could use some work but you get the idea.

Good Break: This CB has eyes on the back of his a 5% bonus reacting to a pass being thrown and a 5% bonus to intercepting the ball.

Nerves of Steel: The CB has a 10% chance of resisting pump fake attempts and a 5% increased chance of a PD if the ball is thrown at his man.

Man Lockdown: This CB is like a dog with a bone, once he is locked up man to man he gets a 10% boost to speed and agility allowing him to stay with the WR.

The Quarterback Look Off ability becomes an activated option with 60 cap vision

A quarterback can fool Safeties and CBs with his eyes to give a WR more of a chance to be open.

I'm still kind of hoping we get a VA for interception-oriented players. Here are a few options.

the three handed man: 3% per level chance to reroll interception failures
no guts, no glory: 2% per level chance to achieve an interception, with the penalty of 20% likelihood of getting faked out by QB pumpfakes and the like. The penalty would be reduced by 1% per level.
devastating turnover: on an interception, reduces the QB's morale by 2% per level.

A current VA that should be changed

Scrambler
This VA adds to a SA that is in the pocket passer tree. How does that make sense?

Suggestion for change
Each lvl increases your QBs decision to scramble by 2%
And increases the On the Run SA by 5% making the QB more accurate while running.

ROID RAGE

Each level of ROID RAGE gives the player a +2% bonus to STR and a +4% bonus to confidence.

However, each level of ROID RAGE increases the chance of the following:

+1% chance per level that on any given play where this player is on the field that this player will be called for a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

+1% chance per level that this player will fail a random drug test after a game and receive a 4-game suspension.

Exhibit #1 as to how overpowered Clock Manager is:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=915454&mode=pbp

The back-up QB, not yet having taken a snap in the game, comes in with 1:53 left in the game and goes 8/9 passing for 25% of the team's total passing yards for the game. That's 25% of their passing yards in 3% of the game, by the back-up QB. Throwing at an 88% completion rate. I'll keep updating this post as I have time to look at other games.

Whoops. I just posted this in the main forum. I'll post it here instead, along with a few more suggestions:

Conditioned

This player treats his body like a temple and does all the little things to make sure he stays in good condition well past his prime. Each level reduces the penalties from aging by 1%.

Head Hunter

This player comes off the line of scrimmage with bad intentions. Helmet to helmet contact is pivotal in dishing out a nasty block. Each level of this ability gives a +2% chance to doubling the morale and stamina loss of being blocked. If the defender is pancaked, the effect is even greater.

Separation

Requirements: 30 Strength

This receiver has been around long enough to know what he can get away with while going up for the ball. Each level gives a +1% chance to pushing off the corner back to create separation when he spots the ball.

Next Level

Requirements: 60 Blocking

This player knows how to chip at the line of scrimmage and move up to the next level. Each level of this ability gives a +1% bonus to vision, blocking, and agility when three yards past the line of scrimmage but only within the tackle box.

Clog the Line

Requirements: 80 strength, Weight: 250

This player excels at holding his gap at the line of scrimmage and clogging up the line. Each level gives a 1% bonus to holding his ground and a 1% bonus to breaking double team blocks on running plays.

this might be a dead horse statement but i think VA's need to focus less on level and more on build and size/weight. Mike size/weight more meaningful.

Quicksand

-- A dual threat VA that can work for you or against you. When this player is on a roll it shows. For each consecutive positive play, player receives a +1% increase to primary attributes for the next play. However, for each consecutive negative play, player receives a -1% decrease to primary attributes for the next play. Maximum 5 consecutive plays. Works for offensive players and defensive players.
