And that was just from one post. People toss a personal jab in along with a mass of reasoned discussion, and the personal comment is all that's focused on. Someone throws in a post with nothing but humor or personal attack, and suddenly people who aren't adding content are the ones keeping this alive.

Status check: This thread died a week ago, but resurrected 2 days ago when Joe used this thread not to continue to inform everyone of possible shady dealings, but to work around a forum lockout to talk about his negotiating of how he would or would not actively join the team for the playoffs. Nothing new has been added about billi blowing up a franchise or whether that fact was tied to catspaw's team needs and if it was collusion.

Wow. That was almost entirely correct, with no joke on the end...

...the only issue I'd take with that is that Joe WAS updating the situation, and using the only means at hand to clear up some more recent alleged lying by Catspaw...but other than that you're right

Just my opinion:

1. Lets refrain from cursing and dumb name calling cause its just gonna make everyone more pissed and its just gonna change the true story. It also makes you look like ur 9 years old, so please lets be sophisticated here.

2. Ballbright even though I'm on your side, calm down a bit. Billivassi did do something wrong. He did make some unfair trades. He didn't fully gut the Trashers and I dont think it was collusion at all. That one player isnt enough substantial evidence that he colluded with catspaw. I think catspaw is only guilty of overreacting on the JoeMalaka situation and reducing himself to dumb little comments that did nothing. Other wise I would clear Catspaw of all charges. I think Billyvassi should be guilty of gutting in the 2nd degree if u will (1st degree being a few spots on a team being gutted, 2nd degree being about half of a team, and 3rd degree being the whole team) but I dont think that anyone here can prove that he is guilty because of the lack of evidence. BillyVassi did mess up the Thrashers. He traded actives for equal inactives and left that team is in ruins. The trades were only slightly unbalanced, which doesnt withhold a problem. The problem at hand is that The Thrashers got hurt in the longrun. Billyvassi's activity is very suspicious and fishy. He should be watched and if no one's willing to do that, I will do it myself. I think this thread should be dropped officially because its over and theres nothing anyone can do to Billy. And as for the story of the Brisbane Bandits. They are not guilty and their season is not tarnished. They got one player from Billy. Catspaw is not guilty in any of his transactions. That one transaction was mildly just and not that big of a difference in whether a team succeeds or fails. If they wouldve traded a LVL 2 WR for the LVL 12 (or watever is was) CB that would be different. Brisbane did nothing wrong. Billy is a little suspicious but should not be banned or suspended. Just watched. Even if he's innocent just to make sure and not to leave the possibility that he got away with it. If anyone disagrees with my thoughts here, Im sorry that you do, but thats what I feel the real deal is. Go ahead and post if you will but this is my first and final word on the subject because its over, but I thought Id just throw my two cents in.

Catspaw: Accused of collusion with BillyVassi - Innocent
BillyVassi: Accused of Gutting Baton Rouge Thrashers - Innocent but will be on probation (I and others will be watching his activity. Just thought Id use a fancy court term.)

For the sake of accuracy, if you're going to apply "degrees" to law, "First degree" is always the worst transgression. In other words, you should switch "first degree gutting" to a "deliberate and premeditated gutting of an entire team," and third degree gutting to "a few spots" or whatever definition you choose.

"Degrees" of laws work in the opposite of skin burns, where a first degree burn only effects the skin (something like mild sunburn) while a fourth-degree burn means you've lost all skin and may've also burned muscles and bones.
