This. The reasons have been carefully laid out in this thread. No offense or anything, but it seems like some people are confusing not seeing the advantage with not WANTING to see the advantage.

You said this in response to me so I assume you are attacking me and implying that my question is dishonest. It isn't. The OP said this would lead to more build diversity. I don't see how. Please explain how creating two or three possible builds for each position leads to greater diversity. I guess if you consider two or three cookie cutter builds "diverse," ... or else I am not understanding. My question is serious. Other than a few new SAs (which who knows if they will work since many of the original ones don't in common opinion), and other than limiting ALG options, how is this new?

Oh, that was just because Catch was looking for a little love among all the hate being spewed. A preemptive thanks for the eventual flex. lol

well most of the hate is coming from 10 people so I don't really let that bother me. I'm very confident that once this system rolls out and people are using it that they'll love it. There will always be people that don't like something, especially on the Internet. This was a well thought out and discussed plan - it wasn't something we just threw together in one day. If you've thought about it, we probably discussed its merits.

And where do you get the info on when SA's trigger and how many points they need?

Well, I can't say these things specifically happen. But the point of the matter is, I've seen WITH MY OWN EYES with backs on the very same teams I OC with agility at 77, 6 in Spin, and breaking tackles relatively often using that SA. Add Quick Feet in, and I'm sure he would have fired it a lot more often.

Also, I'm guessing Juke doesn't need 100 agility to fire. Otherwise how many dots realistically would be able to use it? And are all those fake outs we're seeing a result of Head Fake only?

Been toying with the "pass blocker" o-line which a lot of people write off as "LOL NO STRENGTH!!11"

Here, just food for thought...

79 agility (level 13), gains to 100
68 blocking (level 20), gains to 85
49 confidence (after a strength cap, level 25), gains to 65
79 strength (level 39), gains to 84
Speed/vision easily 65 attainable, stamina to 50, standard SAs, blah blah

+42 strength with equip = 126 strength

126 strength
100 agility
85 blocking
65 confidence

That's a build that would be very difficult to achieve today, at least as far as the distribution across the majors, and could be wildly successful down the road

There are a lot more than two or three "cookie cutter" builds for each archetype. Look at the majors/minors and not the archetype name. Being creative there is a lot more you can reasonably and successfully do under the new system.

Was there anything about indexing the ALG to the cap of the given attribute instead of by level?

I don't think I've been around long enough to really have an opinion, but the pure customization of this looks really cool. I mean, with the new sliders last year, everyone was the same height and weight and it just wasn't realistic. And, I agree that if you're taking a player a certain direction, why not make it a little easier for him to achieve that goal? This is a great idea! It brings a more realistic feel to how players can be built. Good stuff!

Please don't hate. Anti-noob attitudes are what drive ppl away. Go ahead, call me a snowflake too. Then go play the game by yourself and see how that works.

I love this but I don't want to retire all my players to get those shiny ALGs from the start. Oh well.

Anarcho isn't saying this new system is "diverse" at all. He's saying that it isn't really, but there are at least some choices.

What he's saying is, if we did get TRUE diversity, all hell would break loose because everyone would choose the same thing anyway (ie whatever works best to create the ultimate player of that position).
