No idea....I've been saying the AI's are buggy for about 3 seasons now. But it's next to impossible to prove it, have multiple people agree, AND have someone of importance (Bort) look into it. Makes you want to add another setting right beneath it and change it to Within FG Range doesn't it?

I wouldn't be surprised if that was it even if the OAI tester said that you were good to go. Enough with the bells and whistle already....let's just get the basics please.

Hell of a game. Was very entertaining to watch. Blowing the lead then coming back was awesome (well for us of course) Now we get to pray to the RNG Gods for our next game

Good game OFG. I started watching the game film, but when I saw that our QB substitution was totally screwed up I turned it off. We have had the game plan ready for weeks and I couldn't wait to watch the game, so naturally we are quite disappointed to fail like this on the mother of all AI mistakes. We wanted to throw in a couple of 5WR QB runs, unfortunately for us we didn't know that the RB2 position doesn't override the regular depth chart like the TE2 position does.

Still, I am sure you would have won as you are a great team. But we would have liked to give you a fight at least.

Best of luck for the rest of the playoffs guys!

Yeah, we put up 30 so I think we would've won against your correct gameplan. Would've been nice if it was more of a nailbiter though. *O* thrives on those games.

If I understand correctly, it's not that it doesn't override it, but if you have no RBs on the play (such as a 5 WR set) there is no reason for the QB to move to the RB slot. Same thing would happen with the TE spot if you called a play with no TE.

Still a tough break. We've had our share of AI slip ups and it's never an easy pill to swallow.

I think this is it. You cant sub out if there's no position on the field for it.

I don't look at the O AI much, just found out that particular input wasn't in the AI we used for this game. Mystery solved. Time to start prepping the Kampfire for next season, gl Honolulu.

I thought it was really weird you were running so much in the second half. This explains it. That and I had defenses waiting for Precision, but never saw him

Although being down 21 in like a quarter I thought probably caused that.

Great season guys.

i really dont know how to explain it...i watched the first quarter and i was just so confused on what was going on...oh well...nothing i guess i can do about it now, but it just sucks...good luck moving forward Wolfpack.

You guys have it backwards. We made our rushing QB the starting QB so that we could do QB runs out of 5WR. On passing plays we tried to put the rushing QB in at RB using the RB2 slot so that the passing QB would be in (obviously we didn't want to throw out of the 5WR formation.)

Little did I know that the RB2 slot does not override the QB depth chart like the TE2 slot does.

Yeah it's the way the roster fills. Only the TE custom slots are filled before QB, using the RB or FB custom slots won't work.

All of this could be avoided if Bort just made a Custom QB slot like he has for nearly every other position.

Exactly. Not having custom QB slots makes no sense.

Has he ever said why he didn't do that? You can even set it to where you can't put WRs or HBs back there or something. Considering everyone knows the "wildcat" trick if Bort didn't want running QBs he probably could've just fixed that little trick. Does seem strange.

Oh well. I'm confident that Alpine will be back in the top 3 next season and if we lose 2 teams to world league will be battling for the #1 spot. Best of luck to the rest of you

I think he just does it so people won't "abuse" the QB slots with putting in a running QB whenever they want. But that already happens, so he's really not preventing anything. Just being hard-headed.
