someone want to write a script to fix these links, since they don't space the closing tag.... which probably isn't needed, since you could find the first space after the URL, and append the code.

The old one still works. Try to uninstall and reinstall if you are having problems. Instructions are on the script site.

is there any way I can get scripts to work on chrome? I know new versions of chrome can use scripts but for some reason most of them don't seem to be working?

It depends on how the script was written. Some of them will work. Some of them won't. Not much you can do about it unless you want to rewrite the script.
