The White Coliseum - Home of the Gilead Gunslingers. Capacity (10160)
This was an odd experience for me. The stadium itself was like something constructed from another time, or possibly another reality. I couldn't quite shake the feeling that I was sitting in the middle of a Stephen King novel. The fans and the team seemed to enter the game like it was more than just a football game, but rather an eternal struggle for a higher purpose.
Chiefs Stadium - Home of the Charlestown Chiefs. Capacity (10060)
The only stadium on my tour that served their own beer on draft, and man was it good. Something called Uncle Buck's Special Brew. Overall a very pleasant experience. A little cold, though.
Stadium of the Depraved - Home of the Biloxi Dirty Man-Whores. Capacity (10530)
I came away from this visit feeling like I had somehow been violated. It was just a dirty experience. The stadium, the team, and it's fans seemed to lack morals. I couldn't help but sense that the owners of this team had some sort of hidden agenda besides playing football games in this establishment.
Super Snail Stadium - Home of The Screaming Snails. Capacity (9510)
This stadium had a down home feel to it. Nothing overly excessive about the structure or its fans. In fact, everyone and everything were so laid back, it was like things were moving in slow motion. Almost a hypnotic affect.
The Cage - Home of the Badlands Abomination. Capacity (9480)
I spent much of my visit trying to find this place. It was located out in the middle of nowhere, and I felt extremely uneasy just being there. The stadium had a claustrophobic feel to it, and the fans would just glare at me like I didn't belong in their home. I left well before halftime because I was sitting next to some guy that looked like Leatherface from TCM. He kept looking at me like he was sizing me up for his next skin-suit or something. I don't ever want to go back there.
Next stops on the tour: Sante Fe, Seattle, San Diego, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Oakland.
