I seem to remember reading somewhere that only 1 team from our league would move up. I will see where I read that and try to post it if I can locate it.

I'm sure that those who are insisting it's 2 up 2 down are quoting this post from Bort:

Note the date though. Bort has not made an announcement post about who goes up or down since, but in the 700 page thread discussing the idea that eventually became the system we have, it was shown that it would only work with 2 up 4 down (except Pro teams don't go up, and BBB teams don't go down - nowhere to go right now).

Looking at the structure graphically will help you see why it has to be that way

You go 2 up 2 down, what have you got? 4 teams go into A, but only 2 come down. League sizes would change over time until the BBBs would disappear.

1 up 1 down, what have you got? Same thing.

Only in a situation where twice as many go down as go up will the pyramid work. While Bort hasn't said it officially in an announcement post, he was involved in the discussion thread and said he wanted to hold to the minimum movement for league stability in the pyramid scheme, which is 2 up, 4 down.

If you are in a league that isn't in a pyramid, then the old rules still apply. Obviously, that isn't our case.

it is settled. the winner of each conference (2 from each league) moves up. 4 move down from the USA A above us, 2 to each league, which translates into 1 from each conference.

so lets say New brunswick wins the eastern conference but gets knocked out of playoffs early. Do they still move up just because they won the conference or does the team who rocked out to the finals move up.

I believe that the 2 Super Bowl teams are the ones that move up.

Yeah, winner of the conference championship, not the regular season conference leader. I.E. the two super bowl teams move on to the higher league.

Yup, that's how it works from what I understand... If the 7th best team from the West makes the "Super Bowl" that is the team that moves up....

yep. as in real life (except college BSC football), it is the playoffs that count.

Seriously Anderson had a decent season but with the receiver weapons he had who wouldn't. But not Ben has 2 more GREAT offensive weapons added to our offense. 1. Mendenhall (RB) give Fast willie a break now and then and the best WR in the draft that only slipped to us because of a wrist injury that is fully healed or he would have been selected top 10. 6'4" Limas Sweed ( Plaxico type player) will be a better playmaker than Burress ever was!!! (sorry Death) And don't let your fluke season get in the way of proven franchise. But 10-6 I think you guys were just think if you didn't play us at all that would have been 10-4
