Since that is the first recruiting battle that has taken place between Strong's staff and Sumlin's staff, this obviously means that Texas is going to own A&M in recruiting while both of these coaches are around.

If by "Beat Out" you mean got a guy committed who Sumlin and company had not talked to for a long time because there wasn't mutual interest. He obviously has a Wonderlic score of 6 to want tu over A&M, but so be it. Now, Zaycoven Henderson on the other hand fled from Stronghorn as fast as he could, and if (when) we flip Otaro Alaka there will be more delicious, burnt orange tears flowing.

This is what happens when you have no recruiting connections in Texas high schools. You just walk in thinking everyone will drop what they are doing because you're from t.u.

Word is that the t.u. coaches called Coach Wager to ask when Garrett might be available to talk. Garrett told Coach Wager he wasn't interested in seeing them. They showed up at school anyway and went to Coach Wager's office. Coach Wager sent a runner to Garrett's class and Garrett sent the runner back to Coach Wager's office with word that he was busy and didn't want to speak with them.

Not only that, but Alaka is on campus at A&M and John Bonney is on an official at Auburn, which he didn't bother to tell the sip staff about.

SOLID recruiting on the 40 acres folks!

t-sips have won 1 championship in 44 years. Granted, that is more than A&M. However, t-sips have the mentality that they are the kings of college football and should be treated like their shit don't stink. The following schools have been more successful since man landed on the moon:

Alabama - 7 titles
Miami - 5 titles
USCw - 5 titles
Nebraska - 4 titles
Oklahoma - 4 titles
Notre Dame - 3 titles
Florida State - 3 titles
Florida - 3 titles
Penn St. - 2 titles
LSU - 2 titles

These teams have been as successful:
Pittsburgh - 1 title
Clemson - 1 title
Brigham Young - 1 title
Georgia Tech - 1 title
Washington - 1 title
Colorado - 1 title
Georgia - 1 title
Tennessee - 1 title
Michigan - 1 title
Ohio State - 1 title

Our two national championships were in 1919 and 1939. Y'all racked up 3 in the Woodstock era, and only have one since then. In recent history, you are more on par with Pittsburgh, BYU, and Washington than you are Bama, LSU, FSU, etc. In the present, A&M has surpassed you in facilities, recruiting, popularity, conference affiliation, and team success. When we win a championship under Sumlin y'all won't even have 2005 to hang over us, and I expect the suicide rate in Austin to skyrocket.

I like this breakdown...so when I talked about the State of Florida football being better than the State of Texas football...our state has 11 titles
