I've gotten to sort of love the GLB nonsense and bewilderment. If I'm not totally and utterly perplexed by the sim and website it just doesn't feel "Home". If things start making sense well....well....well....Nah....that wont ever happen....will it?

hazy, if you are still reading these, one of the things this game has lost over the past year is league identity. The process of entering the abyss each offseason and having no idea about where you are going to be placed the following season has taken the soul out of the game. If you take the Pro leagues away, the only league with identity will be WL. Which means everyone else will feel like they aren't really playing the game.

You remember in the early game, leagues had a real identity, and teams posted with pride about being from USA BBB 10 or Canada A 8 or whatever. Now, the game is one big waiting process about getting to the pros. If you take that away, a lot of the incentive to play this game goes too. The game is one big planning stage and then it's over because most people never make it to "the" league.

There has to be a way to keep / bring back a league identity and get the leagues to a competitive level.

I think a better solution would be to vary the league size at each level to maintain parity. For example, if there aren't enough teams to fill out the national pro levels, make the league size 28 across the board for national pro. If the regional pro (which should receive actual names corresponding to the "sub region") can fill their level, keep 32 there. If National minor is really weak, make league size there 24. Etc, etc.

BRING IDENTITY BACK. DONT TAKE IT AWAY.

+1 to an idea that's been around for a long, long time

I would personally like to hear what DPride has to say about it before I chime in with my opinion.
