Still either way, you could be the towel boy, 3 superbowls is 3 superbowls, not to mention what, 5 appearances?

Tom Brady? 4 appearences. We've been 6 times, with the other 2 being vs Bears in '85 and vs Packers in '96

Never happy to see a good player get hurt. Plus, as a neutral observer when it comes to the Pats, the Brady machine was sure fun to watch.

He's not good, unless you are rating his ability to cheat.

Lol, you cannot deny, he set his record for TD's thrown during the exact same year than his team was docked a 1st round draft pick and his head coach fined hundereds of thousands of dollars for cheating by a league which hates to fine its teams.

I don't get the lazy part? All I need to do is say the word 'cheaters' and you know who I am talking about. If the term required more explanation, I would give it. It doesn't.

They got fined and penalized for cheating iin previous seasons. Not 2007. Use some common sense. You don't happen to be a fan of the Colts, Chargers, Steelers, or any of the chumps who lost to the Pats.

The reason they set records last year is because of Randy Moss, Wes Welker, etc.

Once again, to clarify, I'm not happy that he's in pain. I'm happy that the Pats are probably screwed.

C'mon....I hate the pats and even I have to admit that's a pretty skewed version of what happened.

They got caught cheating in week 1, which means for the rest of the season, they weren't cheating anymore.

You can question their Super Bowls, but you can't really question the year Brady had last year.

I feel sorry for him, really. Iv'e got the exact same injury playing football this season. I'm out for 9 month's after I had my surgery, MCL tear sucks for sure. Hope he recovers well, was looking forward to seeing him this season when he is in his prime.

If you think Brady is overrated then how can you think they are fucked.

I was thinking about this, and it's a good point by cajik.

I'm starting to think the Pats might not be as fucked as I initially hoped. The rest of the team is still damn good.

How about this though....if Cassel goes off and looks like a super QB, can we agree that Brady is at least, a little overrated, and it might just be the right system for him that has led to so much success?

Any takers?

Ok if Cassel gets the Pats to the Championship game then i will admit that Brady is a little over rated.

NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN

Unlikely but would be amusing to the rest of the NFL is they did go on the win the Superbowl.
I was goign for the Pats last year after the Titans were knocked out and I hope that they can still make the Superbowl despite losing Tom Brady, if the Titans cant, but the less said about them the better.

We'd know once he got a new contract somewhere else and had to play in another system. (see: Kurt Warner)

If the Pats keep doing what they've been doing (very likely) Cassel should succeed. And if he does, he will probably be able to get a contract elsewhere (FA in 2009).
