Well, the team we are supposed to play has friendly's scheduled for the next 3 days, so we can't challenge them and they can't challenge us. Any advice on how to fix this?

We only have 2 friendlies scheduled. I'm not sure what you mean by the next "3 days".

Because I only have the option of day 39 and day 40, and from my end, you have friendlys scheduled for both of those days...that is why.

My bad, I forgot about the 2nd one.

If we can't schedule games for 9/11 or later though, then how are we going to finish this tournament anyway??

Also, knowing that you and your opponent both knew your opponent for round 2 (since we had a bye), you (and the Sabercats) should have sent us a request reserving a sim slot for the 7th or 8th, then we could have accepted the one from the team that won. In my tournament, we had to do that several times and it worked great.

You are kidding, right? The rules of the tournament stated clearly that the higher seeded team sends the requests. Yet you expected us to both send you a request. I would think that, if you are that forward thinking, then you would have sent both of us a request, and then the winner could have accepted it. Don't try putting the blamed on someone else. If you wanted to play in this tournament, you would have read the rules and not sent out other requests.

Can we get a ruling here?

I didn't say you HAD TO, I said it would have fixed the problem. Also, your game was over on the 6th. Why didn't you send a request that day? We could have played tomorrow on the 8th, right?

But you didn't PM me until today on the 7th and I already had games on the 8th and 9th.

Also, there is no limit on how many days out from when you PM that the game has to be scheduled. The only "rule" talks about 2 days from the original post.

There is no "ruling" to be made. I know you are afraid of being STOMPED (and justifiably so), so you are trying your hardest to get a FORFEIT win, I understand that. Nice try, but it isn't going to work. Take your beating on the field and bow out gracefully.

No reason to be a dickhead....the rules state that you need to send the invite. We have nothing to lose by playing you. We just knocked off a USA PRO team, and if you stomp us, then you just beat a lowly AA team.

What would have fixed the problem was that you should not have taken other scrimmages and still registered for this tournament. There are two rules you obviously didn't read. The higher ranked team should send the invitation (stated a few times) and teams can only have one freindly per day.

It is clear that this is on you, and you are trying to shift the blame. There was no reason to make this ugly, but you made it so. Grow a set and own up to the fact that you screwed up....no need for this to go any further.

Now now guys... no reason to get hostile. There's no rush to get this tournament over tomorrow, as long as both teams have responded in this thread and explained the situation, we can await the first available day for the next scrimmage even if it is next season. I'll just keep a few players unsigned so that they are available to the winners.

Steelers, you do have to send the invite though.

I was well aware of the only 1 friendly in a day rule. Who said I wasn't? You do know that I successfully planned a 64 team tournament and had it go off without a single team forfeit a game, right? http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=961562


And if any team in GLB went into the last 10 days of friendlies with ZERO friendlies scheduled, then I would say that they aren't even trying to win and test things out and should be disbanned for not trying.

There is no rule that states when a 2nd round game has to be played by. If there is, please show me where it is.

And you started being a dickhead first by asking for a forfeit win because you don't have the BALLS to play the game.

1) I never asked for or wanted a forfeit. What good would that do? You made that assumption when I asked for a ruling about what to do.

2) I posed the results as soon as we won. You didn't follow the thread or read the rules.

4) Just admit you screwed up, didn't read the rules or follow the thread.

5) I am not sure why you are trying to avoid blame on this...maybe just a "I screwed up, didn't follow the thread, and scheduled too many friendlies" would have been all it took. But that doesn't seem like something you are willing to admit, so I am done conversing with you. If this moves on and you send a challenge, I will accept it. But arguing with someone who will not admit when they made a mistake and tried to blame everyone else but themselves is a waste of my time.
