My 2 cents

Frankly, I don't believe we will be burning oil in 10-15 years, which will allow the whole middle east to return to what it was 50 years ago...desert.

As for health care...name me one thing, Admerylous, that the US government hasn't screwed up the minute they took charge of it and you want to hand them over health care...good luck with that, let me know how it turns out for you and yours. Privatization and competition is the only thing that's ever worked for this country.

I'm in favor of a system that provides basic universal health care to all citizens of our country while maintaining a private system for those who wish to have more.

Oil's not going away until a viable alternative emerges, which Big Oil won't let happen because they'd be LOSING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF REVENUE.

yeah, you're right...when you are paying 10$ a gallon, they'll still be able to hid viable alternatives.

you actually think the dem's hands are not dirty? I think both side of the ball have a lot of problems but I will vote were my conscious leads me too. In this day and age it is picking the the least of two evils. In a country this size there is no real reason why there should only be two major parties. The only answer for this is that both sides seem to agree on one thing and that is taking care of each others pocket books while the masses pay for it. They just go about it in different ways.

Well, it's certainly not being hid right now. I mean, GM didn't kill the electric car or anything in the Mid-90's despite it being wildly popular and effective.

Hey, so can a viable infrastructure be constructed throughout the entire United States to accommodate a switch from oil to an alternative fuel source? And if so, does everyone who can't afford a new alternative fuel source vehicle get a free trade in, or will there still be a petroleum infrastructure in place to accommodate them?
