I see you guys scheduled a friendly on the 3rd already.

I guess we have to change the championship from the 3rd to at least the 4th now.


Is that fine with the Seamen or would you rather have it at the end of the playoffs?

I'm kind of liking the idea of waiting til the playoffs are over now. I know the Football Guys are in the 4th seed and facing a tough 5th seed in round 1. I don't want to see them bounced early because of the tournament.

I'm going to have a final ratings system not based on level anymore, but on things like how you and your league did vs other leagues. I'm going to need some help, but the championship game in this tournament will likely decide the #1 overall spot in GLB's first rankings.

Teams that chose not to participate in the tournament are eligible to be in the final rankings. To add those teams in with most of the teams in the tournament means I might be looking at a top 100 in GLB list.

Like usual, league tournament will carry the most weight, but this tournament will also carry a good bit of weight. Regular season games will mean little.

No A or BBB teams will be included. Only AA teams who were dominant all season and win their league have a shot to be included. Otherwise, it will mostly be Pro and "AAA championship teams".

Next year's system will also include regular season wins as important since most elite teams will lose very little by boosting early at that point.

I am good whenever. If it falls on a game day, scheduling at the end of the day will work for us. Our regular games sim at 1400.

I think if this tournament ever gets sanctioned by the GLB staff, people will will really put some effort into it.

I thought it was funny that USA had 3 of the final four team, yet everyone said that USA didn't have the best teams. Hmmm.....

This tournament is NEVER going to get sanctioned by GLB because Bort doesn't want to deal with all the headaches I went through in picking a field of 64.

In running this tournament and dealing with all of the teams, I've come to the realization that the ONLY reason why any of the top 100 teams lose is because they didn't try. If these teams actually tried, then they would NEVER lose. That seems to be a general accepted fact at this point.

P.S. Several teams in the tournament don't even use AI and just do general settings. So even the fact that you semi-set your offense and defenses gives you an advantage over those teams. Everyone knows the strength of your team, but there is no guarantee that boosting or trying harder would have changed the outcome.

The invite is out for the final in two days. I am just checking with my team that they are good with that since we have a tough playoff game tomorrow and if we are winners the following game will be even tougher.
