no one has to be shafted.

40 day contracts leave a solid roster together til the end of the season.

btw, if you cared about your players THAT much, you wouldn't have had a gameplan that had you running every down in the 4th quarter when behind.

let's not kid ourselves here.

Playing as the 8th seed and then playing GSA is not that easy. We went 8-8 and then 12-4 so I am not too sad about that.

lol. Yeah, let's just pretend season 3 didn't happen. That's probably for the best.

If you're going to breakup at least do it before we play you

Seriously though just 40day the roster then sell it back.

Wait, so sam gave up the team because he was SOOOOOO busy and then bought another team three weeks later??? (and bragged about it) I mean..you couldn't tough it out for three weeks? Really?

That really does seem like he gave it up afte ledyard's players left and just didn't have the will to tough it out and find replacements; it really is much easier to go to the Mustangs and let Tim do all the heavy lifting and then post all over the boards about how great "his" team is.

Again: I might not agree with what Shagg has decided, but it's totally within the rules and it's been done before repeatedly. He has a solid core of players, so I *hope* someone steps up and takes over, but I guess we'll see.

I believe guys signed on cause of Shagg and his dedication to maintaining the team. IF Shagg isn't going to be the leader, then he should offer them a chance to get the heck out of dodge.

Otherwise, they might not have signed on with the team in the first place. So I think giving the players the chance to do what they want is fair.

Shagg's the man.

bailing on and gutting a team precludes anyone from being "the man"

doesn't mean it ain't THE MAN. he might suck at being an owner and have fraudulently ideals for the GLB community, but at the MMM and the DDTs, he's THE MAN.

it is what it is.

Not technically gutting as defined by the game, though.

This isn't a Shagg issue. This is a game issue that's been around since Season 1. If it bothers you (and I understand why it does ) you sort of have to take it up with someone else.

Sort of think that battle has come and gone, though.

He's a great owner, but at the end of the day when the owner wants to sell the team, the players usually want to leave the ship before it sinks. It is what it is. It's not fair to usa pro, but Shagg's being loyal to his players, and I respect him for that.

This is the 3rd team that's been sold that I've been on. I'm starting to think I'm some kind of grim reaper..

loyal to his players? perhaps, but to a fault

no offense, but he's not a great owner.... maybe a great guy, maybe a good builder of players, maybe a lot of things.... but if he were such a great owner, he wouldn't be in this predicament

Still not sure why him doing what he is doing is better than him turning it over to one of the active GMs... I'm sure the vast majority of the guys would stay on board if there was some continuity with the ownership and the new owner was someone they knew and trusted...

Actualy shagg is a great owner. Given that this is our second season trying to win, he did great. as i am sad to see the novas go, i would still like to play in usa pro. Also idk about you but would you like to have you player play on a team with some jackass owner who might even have not joined until season 3, i think not.

If anyone is inerested in my 2 guys on the novas shoot me a pm

Well, none of the GMs have spoken up, so maybe they aren't interested?
