Didn't they have that ex-Raiders coach? Or was that Oklahoma? All those teams in the midwest all play the same so I can never remember them

We still have a lot of loyal fans. Even through two of our worse years in 40 years, our stadium has continued to sell out. Even our spring game sold out this year.

nebraska actually has prolly the best fanbase in cfb. loyal to the team, knowledgable about their team and about cfb in general, good sportsmanship, travels as good or better than any other fanbase. overall, you'd have a hard time finding better fans of any sports team anywhere.
i just wish we (alabama) could line up a h-n-h series with them.
also, im picking neb as one of my dark horses for the big xii. they have a strong core of jr's and sr's returning. also, the schedule isnt too bad, they miss texas from the south, get kansas, missou and va tech ooc at home. only tough road games are ttech and ou. i think they'll go 2-3 in those and be 9-3 with a decent bowl and top 25 ranking to end the year.

Unless they just signed Jesus Christ himself to a scholarship I don't see nebraska pulling 9 wins. Its always nice to dream though...

it isnt a dream for me. i dont care. them winning or losing doesnt effect bama in the slightest.
however, they have done pretty well in recruiting the last 3 years (not counting 08 cuz i dont think a frosh class matter much for that specific year) and just in the big xii they average ranked #3 in conference (using both scout and rivals).
i think tech, texas, mizzou and ou are all prolly better, but neb only plays 3 of those and i think they pull one out. toss up but underdogs vs va tech and toss up vs kansas, which i think they'll split those 2. the rest of them neb should be the favs. thats around 9-3, give or take 1.

I wasn't putting down the fans (well maybe a little ribbing knowing who they were ;-)... I just felt sorry for them, living in the Bay Area I know how bad the guy was at the Raiders... but then again, coaching for the pro teams here has been pretty sad for more than a few years.
I tend to enjoy the games more than a team. I stopped following just one team since my years in the mid-70s as an LA fan... first the damn Rams could not win a playoff game against Min. And then the Dodgers broke up their in-field and the Rams moved... so I stopped giving my all to teams that I could not control and just enjoyed the game. Saved on the stress, and on shitty weeks when the team would lose... I tend to be an addictive personality so it was better for my sanity.
ok too much information... back to the regular postings... move along nothing to see here!
