I just had kind of an idea that probably won't work, but it might have a little more support than the current one is getting.

It seems to me the whole tournament thing is more to "decide" who the best team in GLB is, and not really that much about who the best League is. My idea is more along the lines of the league idea.

For each round of "friendlies", two leagues of equal level are matched up, Pro vs Pro, eg. Then the teams are matched up to play each other Alpha 1 vs Alpha 1, Zeta 1 vs Zeta 1, Alpha 2 vs Alpha 2, and so on based on what their final ranking was the previous season.

Each league would get 1 point (or possibly have a weighted point system based on the ranking of the teams playing) for each game that they won. In the end, one league would win with a score like 20 - 12 or something like that. This would mean that victories would be based more off the depth of the league as a whole than just a few teams at the top (of course, I think WEPL would have a major advantage here).

The next round of "friendlies", leagues would be matched up with a different league and so on. Every team in the leagues would be involved and might answer alot of questions better than the tournament.

I also might just be extremely retarded, but I won't argue that.

I'd also rather play Canada than Eastern Europe. Canada just seems more around our level.
