No, the Packers swept Favre's leg. "We don't want you anymore old man interception machine. We are going with this kid that has never started and always gets hurt. That's how little we think of you Brett!"

Packers Management - guilty of an EPIC LEG SWEEP!!

Classic. Of course, your statement seems logically sound and every NFL team should have that same mentality. At least then I would then have a career as an NFL QB.

A Hall of Fame career even, if you are an arrogant, gunslinging interception machine!

word of advice, arguing with Packer Fan isn't worth it.

Just tell him to athletic gold off, he'll quiet down

I'm not in the mood for your "jokes" HB. I'm busy cutting on the guy that I have oftened stated could "arguably" be the greatest quarterback of all-time. But then again, if you replace a guy that could "arguably" be the greatest quarterback of all-time, then that would mean that you could be the greatest quarterback of all-time! Aaron Rodgers just might be the greatest quarterback of all-time!!!!

Favre isn't even a top 10 QB of all time, let alone the greatest.

He is "arguably" the greatest of all-time

- Most passing yards
- Most TD's
- Most Wins
- By far, the longest starting streak
- 3 MVP's - nobody has done that, regardless of position

Yes, I think you can make a solid case that Favre is the best ever. I don't personally feel that way, but the case can be made. I stand by that.

Let's hear your top ten now.

1 Favre
2 Marino
3 Manning
4 Brady
5 Young/Montana
6 Young/Montana
7 Elway
8 Unitas
9 Staubach
10 Aikman

God I hate doing that...as a Bears fan I'd much prefer a top ten RB/LB list

1) Johnny Unitas
2) Joe Montana
3) Brett Favre
4) Dan Marino
5) John Elway
6) Warren Moon (I know he won't be on anyone else's list, but most prolific passer in professional football history)
7) Dan Fouts
8) Steve Young
9) Terry Bradshaw
10) Fran Tarkenton

Honorable mentions:
Otto Graham, Sonny Jurgensen, Roger Staubach, Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman, Bob Griese, Bart Starr, Sammy Baugh, Sid Luckman, Ken Stabler, Jim Plunkett, Roman Gabriel, and Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, who will both eventually end up on my top 10 list bumping off Bradshaw and Tark.

weird. everyone's forgetting to put jim mcmahon on their lists. some kind of mass-hysteria related oversight, i imagine.

I like Jim McMahon and even read his book and enjoyed it, but he isn't even close to the top 50 QB's of all time. If you made a list of the 5 worst QB's to win a superbowl, he would be real close to the top of the list.

It is kind of sad that Jim McMahon has 2 Super Bowl rings.

McMahon wasn't that bad, injuries had a serious impact on his career. People seem to forget that the Bears had a pretty good offense in '85 as well.

McMahon was a mediocre QB at best. 85 was his best year and he threw for a whopping 2400 yds, 15 td's and 11 ints. We know him because he was cocky, outspoken, wore goofy headbands, sunglasses, and mostly because he had Payton and one of the best defenses ever assembled.

To give McMahon credit for his best passing season, he was top 10 in QB rating that year ('85). Right between these other two Hall of Famers:

6. Bill Kenney · KAN 83.6
7. Jim McMahon* · CHI 82.6
8. Dieter Brock · RAM 82.0

Wait a minute, who the hell are those other guys? (Guys in the wrong place at the wrong time, unlike the great Jim McMahon)

Dilfer was a great college QB who never lived up to pro expectations, but still turned out to be very comparable to Mcmahon. I'd rate them very close on an all-time list of QB's.

I do put them both on that top 5 list of worst QB's to win a superbowl along with Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, and I still haven't figured out who else I would put on that list.
1) Doug Williams
2) Mark Rypien
3) Jim McMahon
4) Trent Dilfer
5) Jeff Hostetler? Brad Johnson? Eli Manning?
