GG Naperville. I knew our offense would struggle, was just hoping our defense could get the job done. It should be a close game again with Crimson. I'm not sure who I will root for, it just sucks 1 of you will still be back next season!

I haven't reviewed the entire game yet, but it looks like you guys put up a good fight but we got the breaks. A hard fought game as always Tom!

AFTER WATCHING THE REPLAYS -- We did a good job of denying you first downs most of the 1st quarter. You guys took some nice shots at the end-zone. Tight game through through the first half. Overall our defense and special teams played out of their minds.

I'll work on my analysis for tomorrow.

We still have a lot of work for season 4. More likely it will take until season 5 for that.

Didn't notice you were a GM there. I have to say, there's a lot that looks suspicious. Not from you personally, but especially when you have this player on your team:

Ya and I admit I don't know him very well because he just joined our team this year and doesn't post much. I really hope he didn't do it though cuz I would be pissed if I found out 1 of our players cheated.

Also does that guy have a reputation or are you just going off of his name?

Both of his names are hacking names.

I trust you are innocent based on your word, but I will admit aggy seemed *very* suspicious in the posts. I'm not saying he did it, but there might be a decent chance that he knew about the plans or OK'd it. His attitude changed very quickly from someone who had something to hide, to clear relief once Bort told he could not trace any logs on it.

You have to admit something incredibly screwed up happened in that game, though. Something similar happened last time the two teams played, and with another team that played your team. I can definitely rule it being one of the GMs of the BT, so that leaves a bug or someone hacking into it. The security on GLB is incredibly weak, and a brute force password attack could easily do it, since there is no lockout on trying to guess a password. One of the GMs had a password that was easily crackable, so I see that as the most likely possibility.

You've always been a standup guy, so I'll take your word for it that you know nothing about it. For all we know, it could have been DONG or someone else doing it (assuming a cracked password, which is again, by far the most logical conclusion). A lot of people on the BT put a ton of time, effort, and money into the game, and to see it ruined because of a likely cheater is troublesome. If they are getting hacked this year, likely other teams will have similar problems in the future. Bort has implemented a lot of changes to at least be able to catch these issues in the future, so hopefully it was just a one-time lesson for GLB to improve its security.

I trust you to alert Bort if you do find out anything about it, because whoever did this, on whatever team they are on, deserves any punishment given to them. I hope you understand.

I actually hadn't heard about these other strange things happening. What were they? I will definitely tell Bort if I hear anything. Also if it is a guy on our team I think it is most likely that txag was not involved. I can't say that 100% of course, but I would put 99% on it just based on what I know about the guy and the posts he made on the team forum before and after the game.

Also sorry to derail this thread for everyone just wanted to get a fresh view of what happened in another league. I probably should have pmed tom, but cat's out of the bag already.

Recaps:

#1 Las Vegas vs. #4 SNK

Las Vegas made some moves early, but was held to two field goals by a stout SNK defense, preventing them from scoring any more on drives that took Vegas inside the 10 each time. SNK answered in the second quarter with 2 FGs of its own, including a 58 yarder from Iron Legg. SNK took the lead early in the 3rd quarter with another FG, but it would not be enough. The 4th quarter would be dominated by turnovers. Las Vegas tired the game at 9 early in the 4th, and then both teams had trouble holding onto the ball. On the next 4 drives, each team threw two interceptions. Each team then fumbled on punts, but managed to recover. The two teams struggled to move again, but a short punt by Brian MoormanX set up a short field for Las Vegas to score the game winning FG with 1:33 left, putting them ahead 12-9. Las Vegas has mastered the late game wins, especially against SNK.

#2 EZ Company vs. #6 Fresno
EZ's defense humiliated Fresno in this game through a dominating show of force. In the first quarter, EZ got on the board early, and let its defense take over, as they had 3 forced turnovers in the first quarter. This lead to an additional 10 points, as EZ took an early 20-0 lead in the game. Midway through the 2nd, Fresno got their only points of the game on defense, a 49 yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. EZ controlled the rest of the game cruising to a 30-7 victory.

East:

#1 Crimson vs. #4 St. Louis
Crimson once again looked unstoppable again, but it took a little bit to get going. Both teams struggled offensively early, but Crimson finally got on the board late in the first and kept it coming for the rest of the game. St. Louis had little luck moving the ball, and had 5 turnovers in the game. Crimson advanced to the conference finals on a 33-3 victory.

#2 Naperville vs. #3 Columbus
In the fourth meeting between the teams, Columbus hoped to improve on its 0-3 record against Naperville. Both defenses played tough for the first quarter, but Naperville was able to put a drive together converting 3 first downs on an 80 yard drive to jump out to the 7-0 lead. After an interception by Brian Humungous, Columbus was able to drive on the short field, but had to settle for a FG, bringing the game to 7-3. They held Naperville on their next drive, but a fumble by Marvin "The Fumbler" Washington, relegated to punt returns after his announcement of retirement, changed the momentum in the game. Columbus's defense stopped Naperville on the short field, holding them to another field goal bringing the game to 10-3. Columbus drove the ball down to the Naperville 3, but was unable to punch the ball in and had to settle for another FG, bringing it to 10-6. Their next drive was also successful for another FG, bringing the game within 1. However, this recovery was short lived, as Laurie Wilson fumbled deep in their own territory for Columbus, leaving Naperville with a short field before half. Naperville completed a 43 yard pass for a TD from Bomb Odie to Odie Harrison to go ahead 16-9 at halftime. Columbus was unable to do anything on offense the rest of the game and Naperville scored 2 more TDs in the second half to put the game out of reach as they rolled to the championship game.

Conference Championships:

#1 Las Vegas vs. #2 EZ COMPANY
In a rematch of a thriller late in the year, EZ looks to improve on their conference runner-up status this season. Expect a low scoring battle in the first half, followed by the teams getting more scoring in the second half.

Prediction: EZ 16, Las Vegas 15

#1 Crimson vs. #2 Naperville
Naperville is the only team to have challenged Crimson all season, requiring them to win on special teams in a game that Naperville outgained Crimson. Both teams are a class above the rest of BBB #16, and expect a fantastic game.

Prediction: Crimson 24, Naperville 20
