Owner of the year: Fallhawk (Ho), He's done an excellent job bringing this team to form and immediately creating not only a contender, but a powerhouse (both by way of their play and their mouths so to speak, lol)
OC/Owner of the year: Treyday (New York), Perhaps not the popular choice, but considering the Doom have the #2 and #3 rushers in the conference, as well as some huge wins has really brought my vote to Treyday. Even if you managed to wear one of their superstars down, the other one is waiting right there to continue carrying the load!
DC/Owner of the year: Tarheel (Charlotte), Scoring on them was about as difficult as trying to convince any of them that the Tarheels are worse than NC State! In all seriousness however, the jousters came up with a gameplan that managed to knock the socks off of their opponents, and for all but three turned out the lights as well!
QB: Steve "McQueen" Bullitt (Indianapolis), The best QB overall, who rarely makes a mistake. Though Backer is abiout .2% behind because of the efficiency he put forth amidst all the pressure (71 hurries), so very good job!
RB: Flex Jetson (New York), A personal favorite of mine since last season, just hand him the ball and he'll punch it in!
RB: Jack Bauere (New York), The other half of the amazing tandem, doesn't give the ball away and has one of the best ypc in the league!
FB: B.A. Barracus (Miami Carniceros), This is a grab bag depending on who you like, but it's hard to argue with a player who can give you 181 yards and 5 TDs without giving up the ball once, to go along with 14 pancakes and 17 first downs. Good all around player!
WR: Circus Kircus (Miami Carniceros), A leader in most receiving categories, has a great ypc and is about as automatic and you can ask for in a receiver right?
WR: Ol' Dirty Bastard (Ho), When not moonlighting as a rapper and stealing food stamps from the government, ODB is busy putting up numbers on the rest of the league. Far and away better than just about anyone other than Circus Kircus, and the difference between yards and TDs between him and the next guy says so.
TE: M'Balz Es-Hari (Palmyra), A TE that can shoulder the load for a team. A great piece of the puzzle to build around, and a clutch performer who continues to put up despite the attempts to shut this guy down.
C: Avery Jordan, (Cleveland), A Bulldozer in the middle of the line! Not only does he lead his linemen, he leads the league in pancakes! Uncommon ground for a center, wow!
LG: Brian Tirlias (Miami Carniceros), Leads all guards in pancakes, and opens the inside lanes for the league's fifth leading rusher while helping Miami average almost 26 points per game
RG: House Jackson (Charlotte), The second leading guard in pancakes, his name is truly fitting for a guy who averages about 8.7 pancakes a game and has helped his team put up scores of 50+ 4 times!
LT: Walter Peck (Miami Carniceros), The leading pancake guy for tackles, teams up with the leading pancake guard on the left side. Pass rushers step aside, you're looking at a tackle that helped to give up only two sacks and 21 hurries on their signal callers!
RT: Kris Hinton (Indianapolis), While most other categories rely on numbers solely to judge individual performance, sometimes you have to look at the lack thereof to appreciate what someone has done. Bullitt was virtually untouched all season long, and this could go to the entire Indy line, but Hinton gets it at RT by default
DE: Ms. Doubtfire (St. Louis), Dude-looks-like-a-beast! He is a walking stat line, leading in sacks, and sack yards to go along with 44 tackles, 1 int, 30 more hurries, and a fumble recovery to go along with a force and not one missed tackle. Let a guy breathe will ya?
DE: Nick O'Neill (Charlotte), A game is won and lost in the trenches, and when your end posts 62 tackles to go along with second best sacks (13) and 2 forced fumbles you have one heck of a player. Honorable mention to Strahan Rampage for also tying with 13 sacks and a crazy 51 hurries.
DT: Cooky Hernandez (Ho), A high number of tackles and sacks for a DT in (38) and (8) respectively to go along with a forced fumble and no missed tackles gives Mr. Hernandez the honor of being one guy you don't want to see on the inside.
DT: T.T.T.T.T.T. Squirrel (Miami Carniceros), The long name is accompanied by a comparable list of achievements. 38 tackles, two sacks, and four forced fumbles and a recovery make him an effective and aware interior lineman, don't run his way!
LB: 'Steamin' Willie Beemen (St. Louis), A great 84 tackles is paired with a menacing six forced fumbles makes for one big headache on gameday. Pair that with the fact that this guy only missed twice, and oh boy...
LB: Richard Grace (Chicago), Co-leader in tackles, who put a little pressure on the qb and grabbed an interception to go along with his five forced fumbles and few missed opportunities. A solid player on a team that sured itself up and has made a great run this season!
LB: Shawn Schellenger (Albany), 118 tackles, one interception with three forced fumbles and a recovery. He has been a help to us all season and someone that you don't have to worry about because he'll always be around the ball. A true run enforcer, he has done his job quite well this year.
CB: Shutdown McLovin' (Ho), You think they'd stop throwing his way! League leader in pickoffs with 13, he has scored a pick-six,30 PDs, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 90 tackles! When you're cooler than the other side of the pillow, you just don't let the opposition get away.
CB: Boy Wonder (Miami Sharks), A very good nine interceptions is great on it's own, but how can you overlook 62 passes defended? You throw his way and he'll knock it out of the lane! Great vision for this corner, who made the tackle even when the ball wasn't being thrown his way as evident by his 82 stops!
CB: Anthony Parker-Boyd (Charlotte), Another nine interception guy, who had 173 yards! Why? 3 defensive TDs! He probably has "Carpe Diem" embroidered on his shoes! A very nice 59 tackles, 18 PDs, and two forced fumbles as well!
FS: IAM BMAN (Montpelier), He made 43 tackles playing centerfield! But what really made the difference was the seven pickoffs he had, tops for any FS and part of the reason Montpelier is such a tough opponent.
SS: Donny Brook (Pittsburgh), Leader in tackles as well as having three picks and five fumbles forced is a very bright spot for a team that is still looking for ways to win. Point him in the direction fo the ball and he will make an impact!
K: Aidan O'Neill (Charlotte), Just a tick under 90% conversion for his kicks, but the deal breaker was the awesome 5/7 on kicks over 50 yards. When your middle name is Clutch, the coach knows you're the go-to guy when the game is on the line.
P: Negative Return (Nashville), 37 yards per punt is tops in the conference, not to mention how hard it must be to hold that average punting 111 times! Very nice job!
I wish everyone the best of luck going into the playoffs, and once again say it has been a fun season with you guys and I look forward of more of the same next year for those of us who will end up coming back!
