terry was never a decent quarterback, he's the best bad quarterback that will ever be. a lovable moron that could throw 70 yards and had swann, stallworth, and harris (along with the best defense ever) to bail him out. favre's very similar ... have fun, throw it up and see what happens. a pair of cannons making poor reads and letting it all hang out ... that's why there's such a ruckus about favre coming back. he's fun and noone in the league enjoys football more.

No, he just didn't do very good his first couple of seasons with the Steelers.

Oh man I've been saying this and hoping for this to happen forever. Packs will have to release him because they can't afford him. Damn I hope he goes t the Vikings.

The Packers actaully can afford him. And if the Vikings get Favre I will be buying my Super Bowl tickets an hour later.

in all honesty, that would be the link the vikings need to make a push this season. Childress has done a great job with the team and was on the edge of the playoffs last season with inconsistant qb play, They have good young receivers, if they were to get a gunslinger like favre....ruh roh

I would hate to see the Vikings get this self-centered, petulant player. He has become hugely overrated and has an astonishingly poor playoff record. Reggie White put the Packers on the map. Had it not been for him, no free agent would ever have gone to play in Green Bay without a huge contract. Favre's selfish stunting of Aaron Rodgers' development is appalling.

It's looking very much like the ol' gunslinger will have to stay retired.
