lol, im with ya man. I have nothing better to do but boost some dots and I'm bored with that so am procrastinating that tonight in the forums.

I don't think the intent was cheating for his teams benefits but he was cheating to keep the sno kitties from winning or atleast that was the intent. Also, lets be honest here. He just got caught. He's been doing this for a long time. If he's willing to log into a multi to sabotage a team because he has a vendetta against a guy with two dots on the team, also lets mention this team is in AAA...this is not his first time without a doubt. And super petty.

I am putting off rolling the 20 dots i committed to build because the 50 i already have wasn't enough apparently.

Totally get why someone would be mad and i don't know the back story of who was mad at who. I just wanted some forum fun. Can't believe i missed out on this the whole time.

Instead of drowning in semantics of terminology, do share your viewpoint on the actions.

I already did when i said i wasn't defending the action. Shit like this has been going on since the game started and it's never gotten any cooler.

use of multis is much worse form of cheating imo. it is a bannable offense and I wish they would enforce it. getting free cracks at finding perfect attribute combos is ridiculous

"she always cheats at cards"

Do you think it is OK or morally right for PJ to secretly remove equipment on dots with an intention of deciding who wins and loses games? Please answer this.

People getting caught up in a word definition while pretending the topic at hand is some "50/50 i could see it either way" thing is incredibly disappointing.

Make your own thread complaining about multi's.

It's a logical fallacy that only 1 thing can be bad and worth complaining about. Example, just because rape is bad doesn't mean murder isn't also bad.

Saying "I'm not defending his action" is not the same as condemning an action. It is an incredibly soft way of saying that you slightly disagree with what was happening.

And fwiw, the equipment removal game tanking shit absolutely has not been a thing on 99.9% of teams in GLB's history.

This isn't my team and I didn't sign the dot. I joined as OC for the final 6 games of the season.

Also if some other people who had been cheated were kind enough to make such a GLB main thread, perhaps those who've signed PJ's multis on the Sno Kits and elsewhere would not have. Point of this thread is to shed light on the scumbaggery so he cannot continue to do the same stuff to others.

Should i drag him out back and draw and quarter him? make him walk through the streets naked and follow him with a bell shouting "SHAME, SHAME, SHAME"? Not sure what you would like me to say. I don't have a personal issue with the guy and as far as morals and the such I am not one to judge given the shit i have done in my life and especially on an online game. You don't like him, dont sign/OC/associate with him or his dots simple as that.

Logical fallacy, more than 1 thing can be bad in the world, and we are allowed to detest and condemn things even if they are not the #1 worst thing imaginable. So your comment here is illogical and worthless in the scope of the OP and the topic at hand.

=============

Lets take a look at morality. First we can use Kant's Deontology for our viewpoint.

Immanuel Kant's deontology is an ethical theory that emphasizes duty and rules to determine right and wrong. Deontology is also known as ethical formalism or absolutism.

Key ideas
Universal moral laws
Kant believed that humans can reason and understand universal moral laws, such as "Don't lie".

Intent
Kant believed that the intent behind an action is more important than the consequences.

Respect
Kant believed that people should treat others with respect and never use them as a means to an end.

===================

Using Kant's deontology, we would say that PJ's actions are clearly morally wrong. The intent was to harm others, and a lack of respect was given to others, and he treated others as a means to his own end only (end here means goals).

===================

Now lets try Utilitarianism:

Utilitarianism is a moral theory that states that the best action is the one that produces the most good for the greatest number of people. It's a form of consequentialism, which means that the results of an action determine if it's good or bad.

===================

Clearly PJ secretly removing equipment to try to tank a game for an entire team of people is immoral from a utilitarian perspective, as more harm was caused to multiple people, then a small man enjoyment he got from cheating/griefing/medieval sabotaging others.

A moral person would simply assert that what he did was wrong, and not spend a couple of hours pretending that semantics matter.

That's the logical fallacy of "Blaming the Victim".
