How about when a slow defender is chasing the ball carrier acting as a blocker for him with a fast defender trying to get past his slow teammate but can't

I got one

HBs in the KR or PR slot should take a huge OoPP.

As-is, it's basically dumb to use anything other than an eHB as a return man

Maybe not HB's but, AFAIK, there's no penalty for any dot playing KR or PR. I mean I've seen about every kind of dot used there. This season I have a RQB on a team that, because we really didn't have a specified returner, he's been doing returns. And doing pretty dang good for a dot not designed for that position. I mean.... technically... he should suck balls badly with a terrible OOP penalty... but I haven't seen it. I've also seen Defensive dots like DT's and LB's... and O-linemen and everything under the sun playing KR and PR and none of them ever seemed to have any terrible penalty assessed to their skills. Crazy. O_o

My suggestion was "HBs in the KR or PR slot should take a huge OoPP."

As in, this is a thing Bort should add.

If you build a good eHB, you also build a good return man by default.

Bort should de-incentivize that.

You old coot

Well... I can somewhat agree? How about this instead? ANY Dots with 'Return Man' as a SA shouldn't be penalized while those dots without it could be. But it would have to be a static number rather than how OOP is applied elsewhere. I mean, a BTE playing Center gets a much bigger OOP penalty than he would playing Tackle or WR. But, for a returner, technically you could build any dot and give them 'Return Specialist' SA. So, I can see where the penalty would be the same for a DT playing at Returner as it would be for a HB playing there as long as neither one had the Return Specialist SA.

No. No you can't. You're the returnanator.

I would fix the timing of the game. More Sideline passes to move then chains vs trying to get max yards. More realistic clock runoffs so that plays take more than 6 seconds to run. There's just no way to realistically run a play off every 6 seconds without the clock being stopped somehow.

Smaller rosters so that teams do not have a dozen specialists for any given scenario.

I would love to see an entire offensive line play the entire game.

More fumbles between centers and QBs, or even punters and placeholders.

Dots scaled to size. A 168 lb player should not be the same sized dot as a 360 lb player.

Dots that do not run through other dots as if they were not there. A NFL player would destroy me, but he would at least have to slow down and maybe even trip over my dead body.

I remember being a 150 pound FS and trying to tackle a 225 pound mountain RB we had on our team... I think I flew around 10 yards.

1. When a team is safetied they need to punt, not kick-off. That's a huge error.
2. Out of bounds needs to be more realistic. Ball carriers are rarely pushed/run OoB, and players never run OoB to stop the clock.
3. Option plays are a huge thing missing from the game, as well as HB/WR passes, or any trick plays.

Other than that, its very realistic IMO. People complain that dots 'run right through each other' and the next second they complain that their defender ran into the slow player while they were chasing a player towards their own end zone. Which way do they want it? I don't think ppl realize there are rolls to get pas a blocker and there are rolls to avoid bumping into other players on your own team even, and when successful it appears on the replay more that they run through them than around them. In a similar vein, If you measure the angles, especially for defenders taking the 'angle' on the ball carrier he's pursuing, those angles never really measure correctly either- but its just a simulated replay, because really its all taking place in lines and rows of numbers and equations and code and the developers were quite clear that the replays are just an approximation. IMO if you don't try looking at it through a fine tooth comb its very good. The things I would change are the more substantial things missing or that don't work quite right, like the three I mentioned. The FG blocking is another example of that, but to me, its such a minor thing, I don't really care. Someone mentioned botched snaps also but Bort purposely decided nobody actually really wanted that anyhow. The three things I mentioned are the big ones that should be fixed if it were possible, but I'm sure there's a few other things I'd change as well that I'm not remembering, maybe some that others have mentioned in this thread already.
