Playoff picture is a little clearer now.

Alpha: Berlin has locked up a top 2 seed and at least 2 home field games. With their final game against Helsinki they are pretty much a lock for the top seed. Woodridge and Valhalla have clinched a home-field game and, if they end in a tie, Valhalla's tiebreaker will give them the #2 seed.

London, Lake Charles, and FTA could end in a three way tie which would likely come down to points scored. Lake Charles and FTA have tough interconference games, while London has SOUTH TEXAS, so this is a very possible scenario.

The last two spots are still up in the air between E-city, AWC, Wembley, Copenhagen, and Nice. I believe it looks like Wembley and E-City have the advantage right now though.

Glastonbury's loss to Nice assures that they will be relagated along with Paris-Asnieres.

Zeta: Frankfurt has now clinched the top seed. Valencia, Rohreim, the Trolls, and Reykjavik are all tied and all have very competitive interconference games. There is no way to know how seeds 2-5 will end up right now.

It looks to me at this point that I was wrong about Oslo clinching a spot on Wednesday. They are now looking to end in a possible three-way tie with Rotterdam and Paris. This tie would come down to points scored and is also a very possible scenario considering that Oslo and Rotterdam finish against Woodridge and Copenhagen, respectively, while Paris gets already relegated Glastonbury.

Oxford has been eliminated from playoff contention and SOUTH TEXAS will be relegated with Helsinki.

I just looked up points scored. It looks like there is virtually no chance that Paris or Oslo could overtake Rotterdam, so it appears Rotterdam has clinched a seed. Oslo will need to beat Woodridge to make the playoffs because it highly likely that that Paris will score more points on the season by finishing against Glostonbury.

FTA also has a commanding lead in points scored should that tie occur, however London will probably close that gap against SOUTH TEXAS.

Points are not the key focus, were still trying to get the most XP possible for those who need it in the last two games of the season (Includes last game)

There really is no 'Easy match up in the play offs, and home field was unlikely and unneccessary.

EDIT: Just re-read it and it comes of as an excuse, its not, well played FTA, and no disrespect to TEXAS intended.

Not really sure what you were trying to say here, but I don't think there is any disrespect to apologize for. I've always thought you were a very respectful poster and always look to see what you have to say. It was a good game and I'm just happy we finally beat London.

As for the points, I understand completely. I've mentioned before that the only advantage I see is the revenue. I've simply been trying to work out scenarios to see where teams could be seeded.

Thanks MC, to be clear we didnt rest players for the FTA game but we did up the sub settings a lot in order to get more XP to players who needed it to boost, I wouldnt have done that if we needed the win, but I didnt think there was as much to be gained from the one wins as there was from the 40 SP my team earned in total from that game.

I edited to make sure you all knew thats not an excuse you beat us fair and square with great tactics and an awesome offensive display on third downs, and our back ups are no push overs, Well Done.

We are resting guys again against TEXAS, and also are trying NOT to have our DEfense sitting all game so again I want to say thats not with any disrespect to them, but getting 200 points is not our focus in that game.

And thanks for the posts on the play Off seeding, it has been very interesting reading.

Anyone got any ideas on how AWC jumped over E-City?

Was just wondering that myself..

I believe he's talking about the 4 way tie and the most points scored theories.

But it's a 4-way tie.

The only thing I can figure is that AWC and Cope are 2-1 against the other three, while Nice and E-City are 1-2 and that AWC has more points scored than Cope. But if it ranked them that way, Cope beat AWC so shouldn't they win the tie?

To AWC: I'm not trying to call foul, I'm just curious. Congratulations on making the playoffs.

Yep, that is exactly how I understood the rules to be and how the outcome seems to be. And about Dragons beating AWC, does not matter because it is still a 4 way tie, not a 2 way tie. That is why Mercenaries landed in front of Dauphins as well, in spite of losign to them.

No offense taken by AWC. I can't figure it out either.

But maybe someone can enlighten me, our players' profile pages do not list the next game. Do any of your's (you guys that are definitely in)?

My theory is that the official playoffs won't be set until you see the next game appearing and all the scrimmages have been set.

So I don't believe the results (standings and playoff brackets) are official yet.

They're technically "official", it just takes until the next rollover for the computers to realize everyone has a next game.
