Very effective method back in the ILOF Vs UGLB Draft Wars era....worked out just beautifully for us back then IMO

I'm sure you're right. No new coding involved, no whining about one agent teams and a balm from Bort to make everyone think he still cares.

But I'd still have to wait a whole frick'n year adjusting build plans and religiously watching training percentages just to see how he turns out. I mean that's cool for some guys.....
but I think the instant gratification of spending an hour on player builder, paying the flex you'd spend over the year anyway (plus a premium = to an initial roll) would be so attractive to a lot of new and old guys that the game would be re-energized not to mention sustained.

bhall has admitted that this will happen, its just will be the last sign of the end of the game.....perhaps the game was we know it, but i am a believer in the game evolving constantly just like every other business out there does.

.a question i would pose would be at what point can you determine when its necessity to prolong the life of the game? what indications say we are at the point where this is what we do?

I tried to "play" GLB2. Unfortunately, it's impossible to find a team so I am pretty much ready to give up. Pretty bad when I can't find a team for my FS and then look at the marketplace to find 199 other (the exact number, not an exaggeration) FS looking for teams.

I'm with, and have been with, a CPU team for quite some time. Pretty much losing all interest.

That is a true problem over there. Between finding a team and getting the players that remain active. It's a weird balance of people getting on teams they shouldn't and people being left in the cold that should be on teams.

I made a suggestion over there to give D-league teams a team forum and it's got nothing but tumbleweed blowing through it. Would make sense because most of the D-league teams have mostly human owned dots on the roster.

The hope however though is that vet league fills up with all the active teams and those guys without homes slowly start filling the gaps. Problem is they have sat around bored to death by that point. But the game has to see an end point for that to really show a good perspective on what to do.

Tough to say if that will be in the near future. The game would probably have to hit a real low for them to probably even think of that. Like one or 2 levels of play not even able to form a quarter of a league. It's getting bad sure but not near that bad yet.

........quit.

The benefits of GLB Classic is way more than player building. Herding all the cats to participate as recruiters, scouts, coordinators and individual tactic setters is the fun part of the game and is what will sustain GLB for the long term.

But ......

I'm prayin' fer ya chief.........
