Was bound to happen. Why? Cuz it's a "sport game" which requires winners and losers. People don't like losing... and don't like it even more when the losing seems to be any part of random. So random is demanded to be removed by the players... and when you remove random you become mathematically predictable... and you end up being a game of carbon copy pieces with no imagination available anymore... and so it dies. When we (the players) started our bitch and whine fests about morale spirals, overpowered positions, overpowered CPU dots (and teams), ect, ect, ect... we signed our own death warrants and sealed our doom. Sad creatures, us humans.

It just amazes me that the game is about a week old and there are already suggestions out there wanting things like build guides, build calculators, auto-train markers, etc. What the hell happened to the pioneer spirit in the early days of GLB where you had fun experimenting rather than having the system build the so-called perfect player on your behalf? People here disappoint me.

Ya, I feel the same. All the enjoyment just kinda gets sucked out and soon 100 threads will be "hey how does this level 25 QB look that I haven't created yet?"

I had some fun dicovering how GLB works when it first started. Tpat's player building guidelines were a huge help for me while doing so. Planning for a build was fun even if the plan sucked.

I feel totally lost when it comes to player building in GLB2 and there isn't much help to go around. With ~30 different skills, 16 abilities, tons of overlap between them and 1 year build time, I've kinda lost all hope figuring it out. Especially since I have no idea how many SP's or ability points I will have by the time he's done or how much one or the other skill costs. Looks totally random to me.

You get 15 ability points by builds end. Bort posted a FAQ laying out some of your questions.
