I have two players with almost the same build, but one has hurdle and the other doesn't.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4349172 with hurdle
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4342615 without hurdle, but one more +break tackle% piece.
If you have interest, you can watch their replay.

The guy with hurdle is breaking more tackles per carry and running at a better average with less Break tackle % AEQ.

Dot with hurdle
I rounded off the third decimal place.
Also the hurdle dot has receptions as well that must be included in the per touch analysis, while the non-hurdle dot has no recent involvement in the passing game.

S35 588 touches - 375 btk = 0.64 btk per touch
S36 570 touches - 395 btk = 0.69 btk per touch
S37 327 touches - 231 btk = 0.71 btk per touch
S38 125 touches - 129 btk = 1.03 btk per touch

1,610 carries - 1,130 btk = 0.70 btk per touch

Dot without hurdle

S35 354 touches - 189 btk = 0.53 btk per carry
S36 264 touches - 182 btk = 0.69 btk per carry
S37 286 touches - 222 btk = 0.78 btk per carry
S38 142 touches - 105 btk 0.74 btk per carry

1046 carries - 698 btk = 0.67 btk per carry

I still don't like hurdle. And Though there is a difference in broken tackles on these dots, I'm not sure if that difference is statistically relevant enough to draw any certain conclusions from. It's a 4% difference in broken tackles, but I'm not sure if that difference is enough to make it statistically relevant due to the RNG of the game. I will definitely continue to watch both builds to see if the dots begin to make more differences between each other especially as they play through plateau. As much as I'm constantly trashing hurdle I'd much like to see it work than not work. I tried to ignore as many of the early seasons as I could due to builds not rounding out. And I realize that these dots are just freshly into plateau and some of the seasons I included in the above analysis are seasons when these dots may not have rounded out, and the hurdle dot may not have even had hurdle yet. So the above findings don't paint any conclusion yet. They don't damn hurdle as useless, nor do they paint it as a working SA.

I think ultimately that I will have to wait until these dots finish plateau and then analyze only the seasons during which they were in plateau when their builds would be finalized. That will be the only way to get a truly clear picture of this SA. Or as clear as it's going to get from watching two dots, but I still think that a lot can be learned from their performance.

That hurdle was added at S37 beginning.
But at that season she was in regional pro #3........A pretty weak league.
So yes, data before S38 can't represent much.

I hope I can have 3 more BT to switch SA.

That's what I was also thinking. Thanks.

As for what MHS posted, I am "sort of" in agreement. I know good builders of Power HB's that swear by Hurdle and firmly believe in it's effects for that specific archetype. But I've never found it very useful with my Elusive HB's or my returners. And Most good Returner builders speak 99% of BT's pieces and lots of them... so I'm inclined to believe Hurdle has a place... but BT pieces have more places to be used effectively.

I can attest that the higher your Jumping is, the more Hurdle will fire. the jumping KRPR i mentioned before has Jumping as his 2nd highest attribute at this point (due to EQ and HJ VA). the more Jumping, the more hurdles. in fact, i would predict a dot with 80 jumping and 4 or 5 points in Hurdle SA would actually have more hurdles than a dot with 48 Jumping and 10 points in Hurdle, just based on what I've see with the growth of each.

if there is a point of diminishing returns, it isn't anywhere that anyone is ever likely to go with Jumping anyway, like somewhere 120+.

The greasemonkey combine script pegs the vertical leap for the dot I mentioned at 70 inches, which is nearly his own height (73 inches). Which means he could not only jump out of the way of diving tackles, he could theoretically just leap over a regular tackler coming at him as well. Now that would be a sweet SA.

Forget to say, I have a hurdle rushing QB as well
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4347944
But............ only 1 hurdle fired during regular game.
It seems hurdle is pretty good for PHB, but bad for EHB and RQB.

not enough Jumping? fires multiple per games for my level 73 guy, and wouldn't expect that to go down in plateau.

Yeah, only 41 in jumping. I was making a test to see if it could be useful regardless. Seems like he'd need more jumping.
