Public/private is a different issue... you could argue they should be private now by the same reasoning. I don't really care one way of the other. In real life (like NFL) preseason games are very public. I don't have a problem with that. All I'm saying is if I'm paying for 24 games, and four exist for the purpose of refining the AI or testing things out, then I'd like to have those be against real opponents. The Dolphins have preseason games vs. other NFL teams, not the West Palm Jr. High team. If not, i'd like to have the cost of renewing a team reduced accordingly.

as far as not needing them at all, again, here's the flawed mentality that all teams are WL teams or established clubs. What about new rookie teams?

Ya they are still needed I suppose. That isn't a flawed mentality of a WL team, that is just my personal hatred that this game is out of Beta.

Using your analogy to real life doesn't really reflect upon GLB though. The teams don't schedule their own preseason games in real life. It isn't like GLB is scheduling games between a WL team and a rookie team. The games are scheduled based on the league you are in. You are mostly talking about competitive leagues which the bigger problem is CPU's even being in any league. But that is another conversation.

Ya but that isn't a result characterized simply by the CPU players. That is a result mostly due to a lack of an AI. But we are splitting hairs here.

hey look, more stupidity. all you have to do is watch cpu games, and you can see that they play with different AIs. its the cpu players that suck, and the fact that the depth charts dont match up to the play called.

not tagging, but using what ever player is up next based on stamina. so instead of matching an inside run with a pHB, it just uses whatever HB is in that play. you get bTE running routes, and rTE blocking, rQB throwing deep passes, etc. to the best of my knowledge, cpus dont do any tagging. would be helpful if they did automatically.

i do wonder how cpu defenses knew how to stop rQB rushes. seemed strange that some were great at stopping it, and others had no clue.
