There is the possibility, remote as it may be, that the code of the two games is sufficiently similar that if a change is made to GLB2 that it could be applied to GLB1 as well.

+1 to suggestion as it offers no advantage or exploit to the game but makes it easier to ensure everyone has ample time to be ready come day 1

yep - and he is going to take the best suggestions from here and apply them to GLB2 (pretending that they were part of his plan all along)

and no, they wont be applied here too, because that would harm the distinction between the 2 offerings, which he doesnt want to do.
