I enjoyed the UGLB draft some 20ish seasons ago - but have to agree with others. Doesn't make much sense to run one again. "Just let it go."

Yea, not enough players anymore as many have stopped building or just stop playing

Here's a sample of a GLB1/GLB2 draft setup that's worked well in the past.
These were used for a non-official GLB underground league but can easily be updated.
Just need to update and change some info to replace ILOF info with GLB info..
Once a team or player registers for the draft they are automatically added draft lists.

bort would need to force it upon ALL players, agents, teams, leagues, and whatnot.
the "communism"-cry by all the WL team fanboys (and others) would be a bigger uproar then ... no idea if there ever was something close to that ^^

So when they spend money they want to be able to decide where their money goes. If bort did decide to force agents to do a draft and try to force us to play for crappy owners and teams. Well I would be willing to say that would end GLB as a game. I know I would stop building players and wouldn't waste my time and money. Drafts in real life work because of the hard work and dedication of scouts and people who evaluate and rank the player.
In GLB you would need to rank the agent as a dot-builder, whether they will contribute to the team in other ways, whether they are financially stable enough to keep playing, whether they go inactive, whether they even bother to assign EQ before they get to plateau, whether or not they boost, how they plan on building the dot, and how they want the dot to be used.
Any other way of doing a draft, you might as well just assign dots in random fashion. In real life, there are tremendous athletes that go in the earlier rounds. In GLB that has nothing to do with the dot and everything to do with the agent.
Drafts only work in GLB because people tell themselves that drafts work. The best teams aren't going to participate, the best builders aren't going to participate.
I'm here to build 55 dots for my team, and a couple of experimental dots and dots built as favours for people I've worked with in the past. That's it. If I was forced into a draft after spending all of that time and money to build dots I want to use, I would probably leave GLB.
