17-69. Does any human owned team really need a 130+ advantage over a team of CPUs?

^^ Thank you ... someone gets what the OP was about.

I don't want CPUs to *compete* with human dots (Novus and others).

I *would* like to see the penalty reduced to where a team can actually play one of these gutted teams, with AIs set to slow down blowouts ... and NOT end up with a 400-0 type game.

35 PR TDs + 1 KR TD by a returner who had *1* the rest of the season ... should illustrate how ridiculous the penalty is? No? -10% to the already AWFUL CPU dot builds would be plenty for them to keep losing.

But it would stop or at least lessen the returners playing pinball with the scoreboard, or slow as hell pHB + pFB taking handoffs meant to eat up the clock, breaking 6 tackles and going to the house. My 2 cents. I know it won't be implemented, just seemed like a 'simple fix'. Doing a resort on the leagues to get rid of the gutted teams and make sure they're in "their own league" would be great, I'm pretty sure I've +1'd a few of those suggestions.

but then everyone will just push for the MVP because there wouldnt be a thing called blowout adjusted stats

I think a resort has been a popular idea for a long time, except to those who make the decisions. Part of the ST issue is not just handicapped CPU players, but also the players selected to play ST. The AI cares most about speed at all ST positions, therefore it picks the same fastest guys to play both coverage and returns. This destroys their stamina, giving the fresh returner a HUGE advantage over the exhausted coverage teams.

I was happy to hear at the Q&A that CPU players do actually get some SAs and VAs. I always understood that they do not.

Another problem with Bort's mentality in general is that when a team falls behind, it goes into hurry up and just drops back every play and that frequently results in a very quick 3 and out. Human team scores either on the PR, or within a few plays on offense, and that entire sequence runs very little time off the clock. There needs to be a point where teams "give up" and just run the clock out.

So then teams putting blocking FBs at KR/PR to keep game scores from going into "stupid mode" winning MVPs is a better solution?

Those that sabotage their AIs in bizarre ways?

Everyone plays these gutted, human owned CPU teams the same number of times. The current over the top penalty hands the MVP to those who "game the system", does it not?

They were plenty terrible before the additional penalty. Now they look like pee wee dots versus World League.

They should be terrible IF there were enough players to fill the teams. If Bort wants to charge every team the same, then he better make sure that the player supply is there. That is why SRO tickets are cheaper than seats. We will let you in, but you cannot enjoy the entire experience.

The approach most GLBers have toward CPUs is completely backward. We should want them to be more competitive rather than wanting them to remain weak/become weaker. With the userbase as it is now we should be playing other users as well as the game.

I've stated before that I hate the CPUs auto leveling. Wish we would go back to them having lvls and varying attributes.
