You dont see the same problem for the last 5 years?

That WR chasing the CB down from behind and then pulling him backwards by his jersey is crazy.

There's definitely an issue of offensive dots being able to re-engage blocks between defenders way too fast after being broken

I've been complaining about this one for several seasons now. The OP's issue is not nearly as big a deal. On outside runs, leading blockers don't need to pancake a scraping LB, all they have to do is stop his momentum for a second. And since they disengage and reengage so fast, they can effectively block 2, sometimes 3 guys.

between this and awful pathing its the most frustrating thing about being a DC. There was a time when pathing was ok, but it has gone down hill but now is the "norm" so its not nearly as talked about anymore.

Iv often thought that myself watching rl football. There are many statistical outliers that happen all the time, upsets, crazy plays and mass turnovers, that to decry them in here is to ignore both reality and a math based sim that deals with %

How about if the center hiked that ball over the QB's head when in the Shotgun formation? Would that require Centers to train up carrying or throwing? Fix your builds!!!

It would be helpful to know what exactly is happening when 1 WR blocks 3-4 defensive players. Like in this play that was posted earlier: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2365607&pbp_id=2466264

Do the SS, LOLB, and LE all run into the WR/CB, or does the WR engage-disengage-reengage with all 4 of the defensive players, thus briefly blocking each one of them when they enter his blocking radius? The latter sounds ridiculous, but also seems entirely possible in the sim.

It's level 23, the only dot of those 4 that has any block shedding ability is the DE, none of them have any vision, and there's a BTE involved who certainly has blocking ability. If those guys could see around the defender or shed a block attributes would be meaningless.

But I mean, players getting in each others way actually happens in football.

Programming players to take the perfect route every time is bad programming.

Agreed, but assuming that they take the wrong path many many times a game doesn't actually happen in football.

Just as said in another thread, even though it rookie ball, over 3000 plays by 2 teams in 7 games, no fumbles, no interceptions and no sacks. Rookie QB, Rookie WR, rookie RB's and rookie O-line, and no one fumbles, no one throws a bad pass (enough to be intercepted, and No one can touch a CPU rookie QB.

As far as blocking, I watched the play in question, what I don't get is how the TE could block the SS, the LOLB and the LDE at the same time WHEN THE LDE was behind him, the SS was in front of him, and the LOLB was to his left. As an old DC, I am assuming that the SS was was covering the TE, The LOLB was assigned the HB, since he swept right and the LDE was watching the ball. That is some amazing 270 degree blocking on 3 players Assuming the LOLB is agile, the LDE is strong and the SS is speedy, which is not out of the realm of possibility.

Nobody has any skills, offense or defense. Bad passes happen all the time though.
