How about just giving the equipment to the winner, very frustrating to win and not get the equipment especially in Pro. Have the damn lottery for the lower leagues.

But for the actual suggestion +1..better then the random crap we have now.

I think the answer to your question is two-fold. First, and foremost, it would lead to play/player spamming (aka, stat whoring). I guarantee you I would if that was the rule. This would, in turn, lead to some angry dot builders who believe they should've gotten 200 more carries so THEY could have the MVP EQ. The second part of the answer is this is also the way it really works in real life... in almost every sport. Name me ONE sport where the MVP isn't questioned as to WHO should have gotten it. And Non-MVP players are always getting endorsements (which is what this is) from various institutions... so GLB has actually managed to get this right... more or less.

Still, I agree that the OP is still valid and that the MVP should get a more decent chance at the equipment than those that were runners up. +1
