...and I've got a couple of people on my team right now who came back thanks to the post-beta email blast and who have stuck around so far.

Don't get too hung up on that point, though. My main point isn't that I believe Catch's claim that activity has momentarily increased. My main point is that Catch's claim is actually irrelevant, even if it's true, because Catch and Bort aren't doing anything to keep the returned players from just turning right around and leaving again. That's far more important than whether or not Catch is telling the truth or lying about the activity levels.

Their position at this time is the game has ran it's course. I do have serious doubts as to the amount of users that the new game will possess. They will have to take a different approach with the new game (assuming it actually exists) than they had with GLB. I'm not sure referrals will work this time around.

you'll prolly find that most of these types don't really spend 40hrs p/w playing the game, they just stay involved with the community by posting on the forums ...why not, it's free! ...take away that and you'll see how many really play this game and how fast GLB dies!

I am fairly certain that GLB does not really exist and the users are all part of neural interactive simulation called The Matrix. there are no users.
