What do TE custom slot do when we are talking about wr slot?

ask yourself a simple question:

what happens when a player who is a starter at one position is used at a custom spot at a different position?

yes its a lot of work; you have to set up every play for it,
but its no fun if its easy

you might have to choose who is the most important target between WR and TE for that particular play-
even abandon one of the routes if you want to use a STOP WR.
however, if you use a Power WR like we do, its much more flexible.
a power WR is like a TE- without having to use much SP for or have ALGs go towards blocking.
still he can be strong enough to be a blocker at TE {way better blocking than our starting, pass catching TE)
and plus he can run short TE routes just fine {while the good strength actually makes those catches in traffic easier)
if its a long route for the TE, we can leave her at receiver. if its a long route by the WR, move her to TE.
and every time we run the ball, we have our WR taking out all the DBs on that side.

no, its not perfect... how would that be fair?
but we found the way to make it work greatly to our advantage,
and teams are a long way away from knowing what could counter it... and that i will not discuss!

{also good luck to those who PMed me about this tactic, and i hope it works out for you!)

darncat giving up your blocking TE just to get your blocking WR on the field seems like sorta a wash doesn't it?

He's not giving up his blocking TE. He is referring to using the custom TE slot in passing situations where he puts the blocking WR in the custom TE slot so it pulls the WR from the WR position which opens the WR position up for a receiving WR.

Yeah, but then you have an OOP blocking WR playing at TE, so goodbye TE routes!

Just seems like more trouble than it's worth to me. *shrug*

For those particular plays and you use the pass progressions to not even target the TE on those particular plays. Other plays you can leave the blocking WR at his designated spot and put a receiving TE or receiving WR at the TE spot and use progressions to hit the TE if you see a weakness in the defense.

Its not worth the trouble to me either but to each his own. Its what makes the game fun...you can do whatever you want whether its right or wrong or works or don't work.

there are two plays that changed the game, where we would have had a different D on if your players were tagged...
i can't say for sure we would have stopped those plays, but we would have had a better chance then we did

still, its tough to tell what our offense is gonna produce tho. i'm building my scramble 'right' this time,
so she won't be close to ready until around level 60... sigh.

actually that game helped us a ton, because i was able to make like 15 adjustments to the base D,
to make them a bit less vulnerable if we get tricked. and in our season opener i just totally forgot to tag
the English Monarch players
but thankfully those fixes prevented us from giving up a million outside rushing TDs, and we still won.
gave up more than we would have with our correct situational packages, but that'll just skew the stats i guess

also, that scrimmage was the straw that broke the camel's back {hope thats not racist to camels)
when it came to getting rid of some of the deadwood crappiest plays we used that just sucked for us...
no offense to trees intended. last season, we played a bunch of easy teams pre-season,
and when regular season began, we had to get up to speed quick. i think this time,
playing some very strong teams like yours in preseason, it helped us iron out the quirks that preseason is for.
