1. w_alloy - There's really no better way to go out than as a legend. It is hard enough to win repeat WL titles (hasn't been done since s19), but to do it before extended plateau was insane. Very good-dot builder and underrated coordinator who could also hold his own in the forums. Ultimately, I think his period of dominance motivated a lot of us to do more in this game than we otherwise would have.

2. Gart888 - First WL champion and first repeat WL champion. Had a good feel for the sim and a salesman's ability to convince other owners to give him their dots. Cult leader of the most notorious and by far the best community GLB has ever seen. CPL was legendary and always had Halifax at the center of it. On forum impact alone he'd make the top 10, but the dotball takes him up to #2. Buttpats all around.

3. Dpride59 - The Valhalla-Blaze rivalry was amazing, as dpride was the only person who could put up huge points against them. The Reggie Jackson of GLB, dpride combines top-notch dot-building with underrated coordinating and a forum persona that makes him the ultimate black hat. He was fully deserving of trollranker's top spot.

4. ufshowboat - There's something of a gap after the top three, but UF ranks this high on the basis of prolonged success with HHWC. No one has more WL titles, in large part because of his organization and ability to understand sim changes. The non-dotball résumé isn't quite as impressive, although he is capable of entertaining posts and had some fun appearances on GLB radio.

5. Deathblade - Hugely influential in the early stages of the game as preeminent tester. His script writing also had an enormous impact for admins, mods, and regular agents alike. Although he hasn't had as much dotball success as the other names on the list, he has been one of the most innovative builders. As a poster his scathing wit matched perfectly with the House avatar he sported for so long (bring it back).

6. The Second Coming of Rusty Trombone - A top 5 all-time DC who won WL titles with two different teams, giving him three overall. He takes a quality over quantity approach to forum posting, often appearing out of nowhere to make the perfect comment.

7. jdbolick - Indefatigable forum warrior with over 9000 stamina and confidence. WL title finally legitimatized him as a top 10 all-time DC, but that merely capped an extensive record of WL success as an owner, coordinator, and dot-builder. Also contributed extensively in discovering bugs, suggesting improvements to the game, and helping other agents.

8. MadMustaff - Instrumental in the formation of the most successful network in GLB, while also being one of the top OCs of all-time. Would rank further up the list except that his forum participation is lacking. I'm also not sure how much he's done building his own dots.

9. Hcreek27 - By far the most innovative DC in GLB, coming up with various schemes and plays that pushed the limits of Bort's coding ability. After he got bored with that he transitioned to offense and won a WL title. Like MM, he loses points in the overall rankings due to being largely anonymous in the forums.

10. Rage Kinard - The tenth spot was hard to fill since there were a lot of different ways to go and no obvious choices. I ended up picking Rage simply because of the degree to which he influenced others through his writing of guides, participation in Rate My Player, and development of build strategies.

troll ranker had better rankings than you

his vpb allowed us to map out our builds but there are still a ton of people that have done more for the game/in the game than him.

his vpb made more of an impact once the training changes went through and no one had a fucking clue which way to go with what

I think what we have all learned here is that Deathblade needs to bring back the house avatar.

I don't know...I have to say there are really only two individuals that stand out from the rest, and that's:

1) w_alloy
2) Dpride

They both ran pretty much one-man shows to the top of the game and that takes tremendous effort, skill and some occasional luck.

The Wang/WifeCarrier/DS/Hood/Rusty-Bhall show etc comprise a lot of great individuals, but I have to tip my hat to the two guys who pulled all the strings themselves.

:hattip:

Dpride is still a troll though, and w_alloy went out classy and a legend.

that is probably valid. I was just asking. I know he has a ton of scripts. He seems to be a decent GLB'er as well...but I know I have lots of his scripts at some point.

if he doesn't make top 10 thats fine...I was just asking!

As a contributor he and Pabst (and probably Rage Kinard) are near the top, but as an agent/player/owner/coordinator I don't think he makes the list.
