Because it had to be done, he's come and gone on his own terms (proving he knows when to step down due to rl schedules), and he's ultimately a fair mod with very little emotional baggage (and I've never seen him lock a thread with taunting and antagonizing which is something that can't be said for some existing mods and admin).
