Ya I knew about those I just never heard the term soft cap. I thought it goes up a little more when you level up because every time you level up, your attributes based on what position go up a tiny bit and I thought hitting the soft helps make that tiny bit a little more.

Well anyway his first game he got 3 tackles and didn't get many plays because he's a backup but I'm not expecting any real stats until I get him to about level 10 and on a real team.

When that happened with my QB, I had equipment to +3 in 4 different attributes including strength and stamina, and what I did was take those and put it to throwing which hit the second soft cap and then use 3 of the 5 SP I got for leveling up to get that attribute back up 3 to where it was so it's like I got +3 in throwing with 3 SP and then use those last 2 SP in whatever.

dotn put equip in stamina.
put it all into 1 or 2 main stats

stamina wont go above 48 so dont put equip into it.

only put equip into points that will go above 48 to take full advantage of the equipment

What's a good stamina for a DE at level 20?

pretty sure it is just 48...not 48.3

Probably around 35-38, depending on whether or not you start.

Alright thanks. I was thinkin around there as well because my QB has 35 stamina and defensive players tire faster so that sounds about right.

Well what I decided I am gonna do is, all my points for the rest of this season are going into strength, agility, and speed. Mainly for the fact that I am in a D league team, I'm gonna boost at the end of this season, and I can train my other stats to somewhere around 20 in the off season.

Then when the next season starts, instead of waiting the whole season to level up and suffering the consequences of neglecting my other attributes, I'll boost at the beginning and put it mainly in things like stamina, tackling and vision.

Hey would this look good for a level 10 DE?:

Strength: 34 Blocking: 10
Speed: 27 Tackling: 25
Agility: 34 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 10 Catching: 10
Stamina: 25 Carrying: 8
Vision: 25 Kicking: 10
Confidence: 10 Punting: 8

0-0-0-0-0
1-1-1-1-1

The one in big sack would be from custom equipment.

Or maybe 30 stamina or 30 tackling and 20 vision.

I've been patient with a DE experiment very similar to this build. Charles "The Bug" Workman http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=641458 (open viewing).

He has been training his Agility so he can hit the soft cap of 48 after one more night of training and leveling when I drop in all his skill points to Agility. So at level 3 he will have 48.03 Agility.

At that time I plan on raising his Speed with the skill points his next two levels while training in Strength (40% of the time), Vision (40% of the time) and Stamina (20% of the time). This will get me to level 5 with roughly 49 Agility, 25 Speed, 18 Strength, 16 Tackling, 15 Vision.

Beyond level 5, I'm not certain where I'll drop his skill points or emphasize his training.

Hmm I was gonna do it similar but I was gonna train everything but strength speed and agility and just dump points into speed strength and agility until my other attributes get to 20 or 25 from training. I wanna level him up for future teams because I don't care how bad he does in the D league.

Get your Stamina up to 25 ASAP...it doesnt do any good to build a player if you cant maximize his snaps and game XP's.

I have a level 6 RDE that has 23 strength, 33.5 speed and agility and 25 stamina. I dump 2 of my SP's each time into speed and agility, and 1 SP into strength. I also train strength until it doesnt become cost effective to do so...likely around 30.

I agree. I know he needs more stamina and would do so with equipment but the downside of him training before joining a team was his use of money in which to buy equipment. His bank account is now growing and he is playing and starting on a D-league team. I also have flex points I can use to get him custom equipment, enough for the full +6 but I do not want to have to use the plus 6 on all stamina. I will however, place more emphasis on Stamina in training after tonight when he is able to his soft-cap Agility when he levels next.
