i tend to agree with bhall - though we also talk a ton and maybe he's given me his disease

I do like that outside running is so dangerous that it affects what I'm willing to do on defense. I guess I wish I felt like I had to make similar decisions between short / long passes or focusing coverage on the WRs versus the backs.

I can tell you for sure that the ee that I used to talk to all the time was a much different ee than exists today man. You're burned out bad. You guys need to take a year off like I did. Trust me it helps with the negativity.

Well I try to run my offense like that.

as a DC, the sim really doesn't allow for me to out-scheme and definitively stop a play i know for a fact is coming. previous sims i did - there is just so much silliness going on anymore. and i say this as having #2 scoring D in both conferences (though the teams are outside looking in)

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at. I don't feel like I have the ability to affect the offense anymore, I can just try to limit the damage.

I do think the sim is getting there. Some small changes would help a lot (having to do with deep passing and pass pressure)

Srsly, this sim is a mess and has a lot of tweaking to do. Way more than you're claiming anyways. Last season's sim just DC's dictated deep passing... right now there's absolutely nothing going on in this game except RNG to the max. Builds are pretty much irrelevant at this point.

I mean it's cute that they fixed the outside run game, but it's just as RNG based as anything else is now. One moment you'll get it for a loss and the other you're getting torched for 50 and a td with the same defensive scheme and dawts. It's like that with every offensive play at this point. There's no predicting or planning... it's just a matter of getting some magical cocktail of missed vison checks for the offense or not missing any of them on the defense. That's all this game has come down to as of late.

Well yeah the lowest points allowed is what 28 a game? Catch and userbase favor an offensive tilted sim. Defense still can win or lose a game for u

Builds definitely matter less, but game planning really makes a big difference in this sim.

Builds matter less? Tell that to Newport and doof and operation dotball.

Some of u guys are bumming me out now. You have to shift your focus if you are a DC cause the last 2 seasons have been the easiest. Tell your OC to score 50 and stop worrying about trying stop teams (u can't) ....i don't do shit now and it's kind of nice.

Give your offense extra players to score more, not going to need them on defense.

Stop trying to get bugs out of this game. All games have issues no perfect games out there on a computer.

hmm .. defense can definitely lose it. but i'd argue they can't win it. i'm perfectly ok with an O sim (i think?) but i'd love to see it back to the day where i know you are going to run one of two plays in Trips iwth this personnel group. destroy that play. and then when you flip the script on me ... im hosed. i miss that. of course maybe that means i dont like an O sim :S
