If it turns out to be classified as "WAI" and not a bug, don't give up on this. There are enough math problems in this game to keep Albert Einstien happy for a month without adding even more headaches to it.

Does this even matter so long as it happens to both teams equally? Not saying this is my view Im just asking.

only response was "ask bort and catch during next Q&A" and then locked and classified as "not a bug" rather than "needs more info" or "admin review" or something. no mention of it being explicitly WAI though

Since this wasn't important enough to you to ask Bort at the Q&A, I did for you and his answer was that low stamina guys (like you normally have in Rookie) will not regain much at all during the halftime.

You can read it for yourself in the Q&A thread, but this issue is not a bug....... so if it makes you feel better to hear him say it is WAI, then ok, it is WAI.

How does the stamina recooperate during the half and what is it based on? i.e. is there a % it regains or is it a % of what the player has in stamina?

Depends on the player's stamina. It's the equivalent of sitting on the bench for several minutes.

So if said player was at say 15% energy right before the half and he only had say 12 in stamina, is it safe to say that he may still only be 15-17% energy coming out of the half?

Yeah, he probably wouldn't gain a whole ton.

Nice to have some clarification but the two quotes ("equivalent to sitting on the bench for several minutes" and "probably wouldn't gain a whole ton" seem contradictory when applied to the rookie level, when guys do regain a "whole ton" (relative to their low totals) by sitting out a few plays. This could be another example where Rookie/peewee level dots are exceptions in order to make things work right at higher levels, so add to the list of peculiarities to rookie building

I stand by the suggestion to make the gains higher at least at low levels for the sake of realism

Perhaps a sliding scale per league/age group? This way, at lower levels, at least it would look more realistic and probably play that way. But I can also see the argument against it as well. If it effects everyone and every team the same, then it really becomes a non-issue of sorts. I still +1 this, fogie.

granted it does effect everyone the same, but ideally we'd all like to see a simulation that is as close to reality as permissible. guys resting 12-15 minutes and having that = the same as resting 30 seconds isn't realistic... that's really my point in all of this.

also, and these would be very minor points , the WAI system then 1) creates an incentive to train/build stamina in a way generally considered less-than-ideal for long-term while 2) allowing any agents who would bother to do so a small exploit to get an edge on those highly sought after low-level league trophies.

or... make it equivalent to sitting on the bench for 12-15 minutes, not a few minutes.

what halftime is a few minutes??

another reason to increase it!
