But you can duplicate a name that already exists. Just put a bunch of spaces in front of the first and/or last name. The spaces will disappear when the player is created.
This or try coming up with an original name. Even the lousy NFL players have been done at least once by now. So instead, try something like "Bite Me Vladykins"

If someone really wants a name of a player that hasn't been retired for X number of time, all they need to do is contact Support and link the old player. They are more than likely willing to assist them by renaming the old player to something obscure so the name is available (in most cases). So yea, you can quote me on that and close the thread.
